In this day and age there is no excuse, and no technical reason not to support standards-compliant game controllers. Its 2013, not 1983, we shouldn't have to use emulators to get our hardware to work.
Given its XNA we're talking about, I wouldn't mind a bet that its simply another case of microsoft giving the middle finger to standards & open systems.
My logitech dual action gamepad does not works, nor the PSX pad.
And to make it even more funny, after i bought XBOX pad, (as other games doing this discrimination too) i found that you can COOP now, but not deathmatch! Deathmatch needs TWO XBOX pads!!! Ridiculous!
