Ideas & Wishes for Dead Age 3 or next Survival RPG
Why we add this topic? You may find new and exciting ideas that we may be able to implement one day in the next survival game. This thread is meant for that.

In the next Dead Age we want to change the combat system a bit and make it faster ,but without losing the strategies, they will be further developed.
The battle system will be similar to Dragon Age 1, so real-time with pause mode as an option. (But still displayed from the side) The reason is that we are trying to reach more players and a huge advantage is the speed.
People who want to act slower can use the pause mode more, while others use it less.

We will also have a second combat system with large groups (18 survivors) to make base defense more interesting. You have more bases , more survivors and you can conquer territories (more Strategy elements).

Every idea you have we can read and think about it. Post it here, maybe we will add it to the next Survival RPG.

If we have any news to our next game, you will get also the news here. Maybe in the end of 2021 for a few screenshots.

Martial Arts
is there a way to make an unarmed martial arts fighter? I see there is skills for it with NPCs.

Martial Arts is planned for the next game. We will add a few more Skill Types then.

Such a pity, hard to believe it hasn't reached 80,000 people on wishlist even with all the fans all over the world. It's a very nice game, thank you. I've had a lot of fun playing it.

My suggestion is as followed: I can do without female MC and LGBTQ+ content, even though I think there shouldn't have been a discussion as to whether they should be added. No players, no matter how few of them should feel themselves marginalized and unrepresented. My problem is: do you really need to make current male MC so---ugly? (sorry, there's no better word to describe it). I mean the models of MC and other characters are all nice and visually pleasing, but the portraits of all races for male MC are all ugly as heck. And to think I used to find Jake's appearance from the first game unpleasant, but in the second game even he's a handsome devil compared to my male MC. Is there any way for you to add more diversities to the portraits before you move on to the next project? I seriously think the portraits of all male NPCs, such as Steven and Lance, are better than the ones we got for MC

Another problem is that I've found that there has never been any appearance of children in the franchise. I understand that you may want to avoid depiction of minors' death so as not to break the laws in many regions. But no child at all in the games feels unrealistic and sometimes immersion-breaking. May I suggest one or two children NPCs in the next game? They need not to be associated with any violent or sexual content, but they can act as the wards or even little assistants to MC, potentially adding more enriching experiences and some emotional moments to the game. For example, they can basically be MC's adopted child, with no option to be added to MC's party (so as to avoid death), but they can be trained, taught skills, need to be comforted and spent time with, and could be developed deeper and deeper connections with as the story goes on. I personally would love to be a guardian/mentor/parent to an orphaned child in a post-apocalyptic setting.

@Dove Tong Well I think the main char visuals are very subjective. Personally I like the default char. But do you mean also the new asian and latino portraits style 5 - 6 - 7;)

I can think about another version of a main hero face. But only for American Style because the asian faces are new.

@ All You can also give me some examples (or links) you want to see from faces you like :) Because we will create a lot new portraits for the next Dead Age project.

Hello, I would like to start by saying that I am impressed with HolyAvatars' presence in this forum, and I appreciate how active he/she is.
On to my ideas for next DA.
1. Can you make it so we can move characters in all directions N S E W, instead of West to East. (Better to fill in gaps caused by others moving, blown back from something, make room for summons....etc.) Obviously the space you move to has to be clear.
2. Can you make it where we can rotate camera and zoom a little in and out? (Not a full zoom or rote around, just enough to see the battles better). The games graphics are superb and I want to see it better. I find it difficult sometimes to see the enemies types and which ones are the elites etc. (you could almost make a small UI box that shows the set up of the enemies on the grid at a glance, maybe make the square the elite is on in a red shade or something).
3. Water and food. Why do we have to "garden" for water? Have a river flowing by the camp and have a water tower and garden there. The gardening for water is confusing imo. Edit: Never mind lol, guess I missed the well right next to garden....
4. How about a retreat option if the battle goes south. Based on survival, IE you have survival 3, you have a 30% chance to succeed. A high Survival at lvl 10 makes retreat 100% success. Edit: Ok retreat should never be free from some sort of cost. Say 50% chance at level 10 survival to succeed, or lose 50% health after retreat. If under 50% when you retreat your wiped out. (Avg of the 3 members?)
5. I have not made it to turn 27. I heard that is end game turn, if thats true, can you make it with no "end game" just keep playing it out type thing? Like the just one more turn in Civ games?
These are just some ideas from a guy that hasnt made that much of a dent in this game, I am having a good time doing it though. Keep up the good work you guys, and I will add to this post if I have anymore ideas.

Yea they bad ass, can kick you to back row or overhead punch you down... prob next game lol as they said they done on major stuff.

I think that if in the next game, you want to increase the "horror/rpg part" you need to lower the ammo quantity and increase the possibility to break the background and craft object from it (e.g. rdestroy a chair/table to have a stick/club) and so on. It would be cool to have this possibility both when the fight is over and when you're fighting (e.g. pick up a rock and throw it in the zombie face, etc)

About fight formation the way of managing it is not fine. Choice on character profile would be better. For now I can't find a way to make the formation I want...

I need 2 or 3 front depending on skills and ammo. But I can't even guess who is at the place I chose the formation for. So I try after each fight to change things without success. It is not intuitive at all. Choice on fight line must be set on character. It is dependent of skills and will be easier to manage.
