Unable To Play Due To Authentication Error
just got the game, downloaded/installed it but when I try to start the game, I get an error from UPlay saying there is a problem with authenticating the ownership of the game.

Anybody have a similar issue, or know how to resolve it ?

Same
Yeah I got the same despite already having UPLAY account linked with Steam for other games. Bad show Ubisoft. Great way to launch a product on a new platform.

I'm a simple man, I see 3rd party Denuvo, I ignore game.
Classic Ubisoft.

Problems like this happens often with their newly-released games. I remember the same thing happened with one of their titles that got released a while back (maybe Far Cry New Dawn?).

First time I've ever had a problem with a game on Uplay actually. I guess the authentication servers are swamped or something?

Same problem here, it's incredible that the only solution is "hey, maybe you used the wrong account". Yeah, we are stupid and all the other ubi games that I bought from steam WITH THE SAME UBI AND STEAM ACCOUNT are fake. Seriously this makes me rethink buying anything from Ubisoft again, and being treated as trash instead of a consumer in this goddam industry.

Edit: Also I forgot the add, searched a solution around the web and found out that this problem persist since a few years ago, and people have to wait days or weeks for an answer.

I bought the game. I own the game.

Ubisoft, do not <BLEEP> with me. I'm not in the mood for your <BLEEP> you French (Canadian which makes you Fake French) <BLEEP> <BLEEP>. I was just about to settle in for some relaxing and entertaining shootybang and your <BLEEP> uPlay client just <BLEEP>blocked me.

Ever played a really old flash game called "Poke the penguin"?

There's a scene where if you poke it enough it goes ballistic, swears for about ten seconds straight and then explodes.

That's me when I attempt to launch the game only to be greeted by the fake french equivalent of "COMPUTER SAYS NO MONSIEUR. YOU SHALL NOT ENJOY YOUR GAME. WHICH YOU PAID FOR."

Guys, if anyone gets an answer from Ubi or finally can play (after having this problem of course) please post it here.
Hobbes Apr 30 @ 12:26pm
Expect me to devolve into further Quentin Tarantino style fruity language as Ubisoft remain stubbornly french
Same here, same message, can't play it so will refund it. Absolute waste of time <bleep. bleep. bleep> :(
I was talking to one of the customer reps .. he wanted me to restart Uplay, told me to delete some file, and whatever else he tried.

His last resort was asking me to send him a screenshot of my purchase history on Steam, and he would add the game to my Uplay library manually.

Of course while I was doing that, our chat window timed out, so ♥♥♥♥ it, I'm not jumping through these hoops again so I'll just refund as well.
