I definitely agree. Might be too narrow customer base though. The simplistic (but very charming) graphics combined with the british toilet humor makes the game score low in reviews and it is probably more profitable for telltale to focus on the new Walking Dead/Wolf among us-franchises...
Hector himself kind of left us with a sequel hook. But a business has to make money, so you're probbly right on the focus.

I liked Hector more than WD or WAU, hope they will make more episodes.

Imagine Hector 4,5 and 6 with WD or WAU technology!

When I read this correct then Hector was not even developed by telltale, just ublished and the devs used the telltale tool, which means there should be no people have to put from tt's other projects. I also sadly doubt it fits into telltales current lineup and image. They just want grim dark seriousness with tearjerkers; not a good mix of seriousness&humor, absurd but still logical puzzles.
They've made a cult hit, and the cult wants more.

I may be wrong, but the studio that made Hector is no more.

+1,000,000,000,000,000

However, the chances of more Hector are about...
0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%

The Wikipedia page for Straandlooper has links to 3 websites:

Straandlooper website: dead and gone
Hector Files blog: dead and gone
Lifeboat Luke website: dead and gone

As of Arpil 19, 2012, Straandlooper was working on three new projects:
https://adventuregamers.com/news/view/21278

I'm sure those additional games are now sleeping with the same fishes as their former websites (also dead and gone).

What can we do about this? Nothing.

Or...

We can do something. Maybe the 4 developers that made up Straandlooper are now working in super awesome jobs making quadrillions of dollars every second, and they simply have no time or interest in pursuing more Hector, or other crazy funny over the top adventure games. If that's the case, bye-bye Hector. Unless of course, they sell the Hector rights to another studio.

Or...

Maybe the 4 Straandlooper developers are super poor and homeless now. Hopefully not though! Hopefully they have not turned into "street urchins" like in the one in "Senseless Acts of Justice". Hopefully they have not decided to turn into one of the street hookers in that same episode. Hopefully they are not homeless like the homeless man in "We Negotiate with Terrorists". Hopefully they have not resorted to making money by standing in creepy dark forests dressed like leprechauns and asking passersby "care to touch me nuts fer luck?". Hopefully they don't need to go down the dark path of stripping and doing lap dances underneath a Catholic church. That would be horrible!

Okay, back to being a little serious now... maybe they aren't happy with their current jobs, or they are working outside of the gaming industry. Maybe they want to go back to their old jobs at Straandlooper and make crazy wild raunchy adventure games. This game just didn't sell well enough though. The low sales are probably what killed the company. The game itself was AWESOME! It was definitely one of my favorite adventure games of ALL TIME!

How can we get them to reform Straandlooper and make a second season of Hector? We can do it! If anyone here is serious about this, doing these things may be our only hope...

1. Buy a copy of Hector: Badge of Carnage for each of your Stream friends.
2. Track the four former Straandlooper members down online to see if they are employed or are looking for work.
3. Ask them if they have story ideas for a new Hector game.
4. Ask them if they have looked into having any German adventure game developers help them to publish and fund a new Hector game (such as Daedalic Entertainment or KING Art Games). These German companies still make these kinds of games -- Telltale does not.
5. Ask the four former Straandlooper developers if they would like to do a Kickstarter for a second Hector season.
6. Fund Hector 2 with ALL of the money in your checking account.
7. If the Kickstarter goal is not met, get huge bags of money somehow, and give them to Straandlooper.

Sometimes it takes a village. This time, it only takes the fans of Clappers Wreake!

After looking around on some Steam pages, I found out that the writer for this game worked on the newer Wailing Heights as well:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/443650/Wailing_Heights/

"A laugh-out-loud script from Kevin Beimers, who brought you tthe critically-defamed Hector: Badge of Carnage (Published by Telltale Games) and Schrödinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark (Published by Team17)".

And, I guess that Schrödinger’s Cat game did release:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/295490/Schrdingers_Cat_And_The_Raiders_Of_The_Lost_Quark/

Straandlooper and Hector still seem to be 99.9999999999999999999999% dead forever though. :steamsad:

But not if we follow Steps 1 through 7 for our Plan to get Hector 2! :steamhappy:
