I would not quite say it was too short, but I can definitely say I want more.
I did see a dev response a month or 2 ago that hinted that there would be no DLC but we might see some added weapons or expeditions, so fingers crossed...
I would love to see further support for this title.
However, I'd rather they focus efforts into FC6, adding all the new features from New Dawn into it, but expanding it, double the expeditions, double the monstrous animal types, I'd like to see FC6 include even more treasure hunts than FC5, these really made the world rewarding and fun to explore, they were always welcomed breakaways from the story, maybe this time random treasure hunts would contain cosmetic items as well.
The crafting and upgrading prestige system is one of my favourite new features from New Dawn, it has much more of an impact than just looting a random weapon from an enemy, this needs to be a new standard for the franchise, I'd like to see this expanded as well, maybe add weapon attachments, change the appearance of a weapon through 'tints' unlocked from end-game content drops, and crafting bags for additional fishing/hunting storage.
Make some of the materials found in the world respawn at random after a certain amount of in-game hours or days have passed, so the map never really feels like its been completely scavenged, this would tie in well with outpost scavenging, as I often venture off after reclaiming a few outposts to hunt and always wish to find extra resources; maybe I'm just addicted to looting things in these games, it's satisfying.
would like more as well
I understand they had a great spin off idea and wanted to corner a portion of the consumer market interested in the multiple post-apocalyptic titles released during 1st quarter of 2019. However, the mechanics and general feel of New Dawn is fantastic. I even enjoy the light rpg elements. There is much improvement in enemy ai over FC5 and the post apocalyptic theme compliments the sea of blank canvasses that are the enemy npc's. I feel Ubi has sold themselves quite short on this title. Nevertheless, i'm sure it's a good business investment during the interim of major franchise releases.
remember the game is post apocalyptic now, so a working plane that is flyable would be slim, You are lucky that helicoptors work
Haha, I was wondering if that was possible (playing FC5 now and am close to having that sob dead to rights). Thanks for confirming.
There are some interesting things you can do with choppers.
At the prison you can spawn one heli, enter and switch seat with a companion, jump out after lifting up, den spawn another when companion clears the ground, repeat process with companion number two, finally getting your own chopper.
Then hit the nearest heavily defended outpost with missiles while playing classics like ride of the valkyries. Bit of a setup but hilarious on execution.
