30 bucks for a 4 hours game ? Are they crazy ?
Nope, no, no, no.

Their games are usually good and very replayable because of branching paths and multiple endings. The aim is for the story to be slightly different every time you play. So you get that 4 hours of gameplay several times.

Choices does not matter as they have similar outcomes:: READ HERE: https://www.oneangrygamer.net/2019/07/man-of-medan-videos-show-different-multiplayer-choices-have-similar-outcomes/88742/

This is standard for this type of game. There are certain plot points that remain the same to progress the story. If it's not your style of game that's cool. Just saying it is usually worth the asking price.

Quantic Dream makes film games much better: Heavy Rain, Beyond two souls, Detroit also they are much longer. They should have ported UNTIL DAWN which was a decent game as well as much longer.

Sure that's just 4 hours? That's much shorter than I thought.

This is more movie than game IMO. Until Dawn was like 6 or 7 hours if I remember right. And again played multiple times it ends up being more.

Quantic Dream is all right. I will get Detroit whenever it comes to Steam. As for their other games the gameplay was not that good in any of them. Hopefully Detroit fixes that.

I have yet to see a NEW game that was only 30 bucks and longer than 4 hours. Sure there are good deals out there like Heavy Rain for 20 bucks but we are talking about an old game there as they usually all are when we talk old games that got ported to PC and sold cheap. Sure the indie scene but lets face it most games are trash.

Well 'NEW' is subjective.. but seriously LOL. Here are a few game for around $30 that are new IMO have WAY more than 4 hours gameplay and have good reviews. FOUR hours of gameplay in almost 2020 is trash. Your money do whatever IDC. But IMO a GAME thats only FOUR hours is garbage, not 'arsty' or 'deep', garbage in 2019/2020.

here ya go literally off the top of my head. Im sure I can find more if you want.

~ The Forest
~ Rimworld
~ Void Bastards
~ Insurgency Sandstorm
~ Streets of Rogue
~ Kill Squad
~ UBOAT
~ Hell Let Loose

Heres a list of new games around or under 30 that are way more than 4 lame hours of 'gameplay'. Hope this helps !!

All of the characters can live, and all of the characters can die - it's possible for characters to exit the game quite early in the story. There are entire scenes that you might see in some playthroughs but not others depending on choices made.

You aren't really trying to compare The Forst, Rimworld - or UBOAT with Until Dawn and the likes?
That's just not sensical to do.

If you feel like this is too pricey, wait for a sale.
30 bucks seems pretty reasonable to me.

I'm not comparing anything or giving reviews. Im giving a list of games based off this comment.

Longer game doesn't equal better value for your money. I wonder if people ever realise that.
"This game is too short! REEEEE" Yeah, I rather pay the same amount of money for amazing 4h than on a 60h long "open world" game where you do the same exactly thing over and over and over again. Good open world games are a rarity nowadays. Having 100 repitive side-quests and a big map is not content. If it's an amazing linear story then it might be worth more than most open world games we are getting.

Now that being said.. I have no idea if this game is worth the price it's asking. The point is that just because it's short doesn't mean it's worth less than the latest Assassin's Creed for an example.

If this is your logic cinemas would go out of business because paying 7-10 euros to see a 2h movie is probably mindblowing to you.
Don't take the phrase "time is money" too literally.
