The connection to your session has been lost. [0x0015]

Im trying to play with my friend who got the game from the game pass while I have it on steam and we both get disconnected from each other's session in like a minute each time we try it.

Already tried to change dns, turn off firewall, reinstall game, restart pc/router and nothing (none of us has bad internet connection or bad PCs...this is a joke that its still a problem after many years..

are you both on steam ?
((you need to LINK steam with Epic))
it works best when both have a steam account as well even if only one owns it on steam ..
((you need to LINK steam with Epic))

if not -both of you need to have epic launcher installed (for cross play) ..
if they are on epic you need the launcher running active as well ..
BUT you still need to (( LINK steam with Epic ))
and you need to be friends with them on epic .. (it needs to see both of you)

you need to enable cross play in game settings .. (both of you)

i don't play co-op (so no cross play for me)

i'm only relaying what i know ..
