Solving Display Issues in Linux
Many Linux distributions report some rather unusual screen resolutions to the game if you're running multi-monitor setups and this causes some odd quirks. I've just patched the game to allow you to specify a viewport in screen coordinates like this as a launch parameter (note the quotes around the whole string and the escaped quotes):

"vx=\"0\" vy=\"0\" vw=\"800\" vh=\"600\""

The origin (vx, vy) is the bottom left of the window (yeah, maths, eh!) in desktop screen space and vw and vh are the size. If you've got a game that starts up in some daft position halfway across two monitors, try putting in some appropriate values here to get it positioned to cover your entire main monitor.

You can also tweak the actual game .sh file and add the following option:
-Dnet.puppygames.applet.Game.windowed=true \
next to the other -D options (note trailing slash) and it will force it into windowed mode.

Cas :)

I have no problem with multi monitor, but with the resolution, I tries to set this as launch parameter:
"vx=\"0\" vy=\"0\" vw=\"1920\" vh=\"1080\""

But still I have a low resolution in fullscreen. Why there is no ingame setting to change the resolution?

Low resolution in fullscreen, in the year 2013, really?

It uses the desktop resolution.

I don't understand how to do this, I might run linux but I'm no tech genius!! There used to be options to change screen resolution when I first bought this then an update removed them....and I haven't p;ayed it since as there is about 1 building on the screen at a time...sad times :( There us an option to run in windowed mode but the resolution is still low. It is not using my desktop resolution which is 1920 x 1080. I was reminded of this game when I received your newsletter with bundle today!

Unfortunately Linux is completely unfathomable to me too :( The commandline options basically set a viewport in case the fullscreen window has whacky coordinates. The resolution of the game is basically fixed no matter what you set the window size to - that is, it stretches - I can't remember off the top of my head what the actual logical resolution is though. It was meant to display the graphics at the size that Chaz intended though (look at some youtube vids - should look like that, more or less)

Above cmd line helped me (after creating a new profile), is there a cmd line option to launch in windowed mode by default? I have a complex multi-monitor setup, in Windowed mode i use CTRL+F7 and drag it onto the screen I want...

[added] PS: love the little game!

Under Linux and OSX you can add -Dnet.puppygames.applet.Game.windowed=true to the commandline but I don't think that's supported under Windows. Though you should be able to Alt-Enter to get to windowed mode.
