My tip is:
1) Find a space just a few tiles bigger than the full diameter of the woodcutter's circle (the space within which they will chop down trees). I personally prefer to make two of these, not too far away from the bustling center of my MicroTown. This is simply to make moving wood around to be processed more swift.
2) Build three of the tree yards that grow trees around the edge of this space. Build the yard and also the tree-growing squares around it. I build only the inner ones as they never seem to ever use all of them if you build all of them, right now there seems to be a limit on how much of the space they use.
3) Put two foresters next to each yard. That's six in total.
4) Then put three woodcutters in there somewhere.
5) If you check every ten minutes or so you can alter the number of woodcutters to make sure you're letting a lush forest grow (I like trees).
As I expand I go mad for building 'pop-up' woodcutters to take down pretty much all the wild trees that were generated as part of the map, but using this basic technique I always have tonnes of wood, planks and firewood. This update has now made firewood even more useful because it's used to cook meat, so I might need another of these setups to have enough wood.
Thanks, and you too!
Im hoping that larger endgame goals/monument rework is up next or "soon".
It's "soon"™. There are many things I need to do for this, so it will be many updates for different features as well. I want to do smaller updates from now on, which means there won't be "major" updates that large unless I just cannot split something reasonably.
Thanks, will give it a try! :)
