Possible Linux crash solution

I had played the game though to the point of entering the Concord Landing Bay from the post malestrom Concord base and every time I tried to enter the landing bay the game core dumped. I was able to get past the core dump by using the -force-glcore option. I now wonder if all the crahes I encountered playing through the game would have not happened if I had used that option from the beginning. Anyway using the option allowed me to finish the game so I thought I would mention it in case others found they could not proceed due to crashes.

Thank you fellow Linux struggler! I managed to enter the concord landing station thanks to this. Hopefully it lets me play the rest of the game.
