Is the German version uncut?
So Germany finally lifted the rules about their censorship with swastikas.

Is steel division 2 finally uncut for Germany or is it still like in steel division normandy where there is no NS symbols or even some heros from the third Reich?

All aces were available in the SDn44 version? But to answer you main question, Eugen said they were in comunication with the german Associations, they cant promise it will be uncensored but they will try to get it through (as it is still a bureaucratic act to get it through). Thats at least how I understood it, dont qoute me 100% on it though.

My buddy lives in Germany and he was using a proxy server to buy UK versions of games because the German version either has no blood or the blood is usually coloured green.

That kind of BS ruins the immersion of first person shooters and games like Arma.

So. Yeah. I presume its for real.

When was that back in 1998? Like seriously, I am living in Germany and I haven't seen a blood censorship yet. We have a few games banned for violance but not Arma for sure.
No this times are over. Gore and blood didn't get cut anymore in Germany. The only thing that is a problem are swastikas.

That's a lie. Blood hasn't been censored in Germany since like 2001.

Regarding the swastika, it depends on what the FSK deems the type of media that swastikas are depicted in as. Media that is deemed as art or educational is acceptable and gets a pass.

Now this is a blurred line for videogames as you can argue that they are "art" and/or educational in many ways. This is where I believe Eugen was at with the FSK the last time a dev updated us on the matter; in discussions with the German board
