own basic game on epic want annoversary edition on steam

Because in the past anno 1800 was exclusive on epic games I bought the basic game there. Nowawdays the annoversary edition is available. I cannot buy it on Epic Games because I already own the basic game there. Is it possible to buy the annoversary edition on steam instead. Or doesn't this work either because I already own de basic game on Epic Games. The different topics on this subject on steam are very confusing to me.

Yes, you can buy the game on Steam too. I owned the game on Ubisoft Connect and bought the Anniversary Edition on Steam. No issues at all and in Ubisoft Connect it just shows two copies of the game.
