Can't find guns

So been playing for about 3 hours today. And while I have searched the Motel, gas station across from it, several houses, cabins and such, I have not found any guns of any type. I have ammo. Just no guns. Now normaly I would keep playing but my weapon inventory includes pointy sticks (Spear), A crow bar and a baseball bat. Not really Bear hunting material. What is weirder, is I haven't seen any deer or Chickens. Going to try a full reboot. But is anyone else having similar problems?

Was having about the same experience after 3ish hours. Decided to go back to a v0.2 save where I had everything stockpiled. The 2 story white house changed, so my whole camp layout was screwed. But taking 2 hours to redo the layout and then have everything seemed like a better way to check out v0.3 content than hoping I didn't get killed by the bear (yet again).

I have yet to see a chicken. I saw a Deer last night. I have found a few guns. Try some of the towers. Not the one where the sniper kills you. lol

It seems like since .3.3 I rarely find anything in the containers and in the car trunks or under the hood. I haven't played in probably 8 months so the loot seems pretty sparse to me. Maybe it is just because so many more cars, and containers were added. The loot feels messed up to me though. The last 10 cars I have checked have had nothing.

there is a gun location at bandit camp its in front of the white house dont worry you wont have to fight them if you dont want to its on top of the containers out of there sight range its a m14 i dont know the exact location but around some of the old camp grounds is a shotgun on the top of the trailer its somewhere on the left side of the map

I found my first Gun (Colt 1191 ;) ) since the update in the Motel across the Garage. Ground level far left room in a draw between the Beds. Have to look later for the other locations mentioned here :)

Yes, works as supposed. needed to find ammo though ;) now i got the M4 & the Bennelli where MonkeyKing said. good luck :)

I know for sure that the 9mill pistol can be found in one of the ranger towers now. It used to be in a building on the main road, but seems like they changed its location.

Axes can be found behind log cabins around lakes.

I broke several Caravans and Cars with the Axe. Sometimes they drop car part (battery, etc.) too.

there is an m4 in military base

South of the white house that everyone uses for a base is an intersection of 3
roads. It is a military camp. Very bottom of the map. There is an M4 on top of one of the guards stands

It seems like there is less of all kinds of loot than there used to be. Most of the car trunks are empty, no gas in them, and it took me 2 days to find a spark plug. I am not liking this at all

I found a shotgun on top of a trailer not too far from one of the starting camps. It isnt always there tho. Ive found it 2 out of 5 times when starting new saves
