Thanks for posting the demo and even more importantly for having one. I have all of your games for years so I am glad to see this one so close to launch.

So far I picked up the demo and I am giving it a shot. It looks and feels very similar to Zombasite in many ways. I am trying the necro class and even the skill trees are very similar.

Besides mutations which are very cool BTW, gameplay wise can you sum up the differences?

New stuff gameplay wise since Zombasite: mutations, skill mutations, different scenario each world, new monsters, several new specialties, faster combat pace, you're not running a clan, more quests, more special rooms, combat multiplier bonus, more modifiers (level, world, item), more trap types, and I'm sure there is a bunch more but by brain is turning to mush, working too much. :)

The most noticeable difference for me is that the world is no longer flat. Hard to go back to the previous games, particularly for outdoor areas.

Demo doesn't work for me.

I installed it (on a different drive than my OS drive, same place all my Steam games are) and it downloaded fine. It shows up in the Steam library correctly. When I click play it appends the name with "running" for a few seconds and the mouse cursor acts like something is happening. Then running disappears from the name and that's it.

Checking in task manager the program briefly shows up when its listed as running. Nothing else occurs. No windows open or launchers load or anything. I checked the game folder for a log file of some kind and don't see anything. Even tried running the application directly from the folder and the result is the same.

Just figured I'd let you know.

UPDATE - Tried the demo version available on your company website to rule out Steam as the culprit, but that one doesn't do anything either when I run it.

I have the same issue with both demo versions.

If you press windows-R and type %localappdata%\DinsLegacy\user\log.txt you should bring up a log file. Could you post that?

Sure. I didn't expect the log file to be tucked away in there so thanks for pointing it out. I downloaded the demo again and checked that the same thing still occurs. The log file doesn't really show much, but hopefully its useful.

Those unknown monster lines aren't a problem but it might give me some indication of how far it got before it crashed.

Glad to hear. I hope its helpful in tracking down the issue. I'm subscribed to this thread and my profiles comments are available to anyone so if you make any changes and want me to check if it works now feel free to post here or drop me a line. I like your games so its the least I can do to lend a hand.
