Any source ports manage to combine Quake 1 and Hexen 2 into the same engine like Zdoom did with Doom1&2 Heretic1 & Hexen1?
Just saw this. I might be 2 years late, but hey.
No source port will ever be able to achieve that. The reason why Zdoom could do that with Doom engine games is that there weren't any code differences between all of them. Sure, some are more complex, but the changes were limited to scripting (namely, the ACS system, or Action Code Script).
The Quake 1 engine version used in Hexen 2, however, differs greatly from the original, since it not only had to support 3dFX graphics cards, but because most of the changes necessary to run it involved altering the code: surprisingly, the Quake 1 engine isn't as flexible for modding as the Doom engine was. Still, the source code is out there, and Hammer of Thyrion is quite wonderful.
