Hentai Battle Royale

Hentai Battle Royale

Warning: Game-client contains a CryptoMiner, to use your CPU, GPU and electricity to make the developer money
He has already released 2 games that have been exposed, this will be his third.

The description of the game even states that the only way to win is to have the game running the longest, i.e. mine the most currency for him as possible.

Report and block this scammer.

Mining degrades your computer components alot quicker than just regular gaming, so your graphics card ect will break alot quicker from doing it. The stress from mining with a rig not designed to mine will likely cause your computer to overheat, which will in turn break the components. If the mining is operating over the limit of your hardware, you can short circuit or blow a fuse (e.g. from having an older GPU or CPU or a low watt PSU).

How will you have fun when your computer is a brick?

how does a crypto miner make the devs more money?

It didn't, as the game was removed from steam before release.

Crypo mining is basically using your computer to solve an equation, upon solving said equation you generate some crypocurrency which can then be sold for RL currency.

The thing is, it's expensive to set up a dedicated rig for mining and trying to do without one will probably result in loosing money. This is why GPUs are expensive atm, as miners are buying them all (though the price is better now than two years ago), a typical mining rig would have about 4 GPUs, which as you can imagine, buying 4 GTX 1070s would set you back quite a bit.

Then there is the electricity costs, lets say I wanted to start mining using my current set up, which is:

i7 4790
GTX1060 6GB
8GB RAM

I would be able to mine about 0.00371708 bitcoin a month (which can be sold for £22.98).
However the electricity cost for running my computer 24/7 for a month to get that bitcoin would cost me £25.91.
So basically I would be loosing £2.93 a month while degrading my components so it totally isn't worth doing.

What the dev was doing with this game would mean that they wouldn't have to pay for components (as they would be using yours) and they wouldn't have to pay for the electricity needed to run them either, so any mining done would just be pure profit for them.
