Treasure hunt part 1 solution?

I can't find the boat that was mentioned in treasure hunt part 1, I guess it's the statue on the beach, but I went there and nothing happened. Where's the correct location?
Also, I managed to keep the land lease after choosing to help Grace instead of the mayor for the quest, now every time I went to the statue it asked me to fake the signature, though nothing will happen even I press E, I can neither remove it from my inventory.

1. For Treasure hunt #1 canoe is near the mountains if you follow the river (to the right of town)

2. this is a known bug we are currently patching but thanks for reporing it!
