Appeal to Zyddie!
Please state the approximate release date of the update with dx12 and the correction of current graphical errors. Many fans (like me) will soon pass the game twice. Without waiting for the update! There is not much content in the game to go through it more than 3 times. Is it possible to release an update with several small patches?

So that players would have time to enjoy the long-awaited «Gothic» - without suffering from bugs?

When I start the exe from the DX11 directory, it still launches the bugged DX12 alpha or whatever version.

Re-downloaded the game to see if a full download would change anything, but nope, it's still a no-go.

Patch notes:

Fixes: AA now partially working, hacking minigame works as intended
New: Extra DX11 folder that only launches the DX12 Version! Surprise!

So let's summarize:

+ GPU performance improved over Beta (for me)
+ AO seems to work now
+ Hacking minigame fixed
+ AA works partially now

- extra DX11 folder that doubles install size, but doesn't start the DX11 version
- game now crashes for some users
- lighting at night still broken
- shadows in interiors still pop in way too late
- AA only works partially

If dx11 is removed then they must also update the minimum/recommended system requirements too. Since they are still listed it makes me believe that this is an unintentional behavior.

All benchmark tests from Crater are still the almost same DX11, DX12Beta and the DX12 Release. If any the Crater FPS got a little worse. Its smoother on the low fps but its still bad. Stuttery.

CRATER middle of town watching the center of the city from the roof.

53 FPS all settings max 1080p DX11
52 FPS all settings max 1440p DX11/12beta and DX12 release
67 fps all settings LOW and OFF 1440p DX12 Release

Like one user said 6 months ago. DX12 won't miracle fix the engine issues. It will make the drops smoother so the GPU catches up faster just because the CPU and GPU works smoother together. Lets hope for frequently performance patches now as the DX12 "Feature" is here

For me the CPU performance in the crater improved from ~30fps with DX11 to ~80fps with DX12 in 1080p, probably because I have a Radeon and they were much more affected by bad CPU performance.

Newest patch is now live on GOG, EGS and Steam.

This is the changelog.

1. Fixed a bug where Non-DX12 Graphics Cards tried to initialize the DX12 mode (via Microsoft Reference Adapter)
2. Fixed a bug where the Fullscreen Toggle could lead to a crash
3. Added an error message when a user tries to start the DX12 version on a very old Windows10 version that doesn’t yet support the Agility SDK
4. Fixed a bug that occurred when the graphics card didn’t support the requested Depth Stencil Format by adding fall back formats.
5. Fixed a bug where the moon is too bright in the DX12 version.

The question remains: Are you aware of ALL the technical issues the DX12 version has? Can we expect that they get patched eventually?
- Screenspace lighting broken at evening and past midnight
- weak AA (in comparison to similar titles)
- Water reflections broken? (reported once)
