Appeal to Zyddie!
Please state the approximate release date of the update with dx12 and the correction of current graphical errors. Many fans (like me) will soon pass the game twice. Without waiting for the update! There is not much content in the game to go through it more than 3 times. Is it possible to release an update with several small patches?

So that players would have time to enjoy the long-awaited «Gothic» - without suffering from bugs?

So update, we are working on a bug fixing update then we are gonna see how to roll this out as it is a completely different version than the current main game, so we have to figure that out before we release it onto live version, especially since we never wrote on the store page that Dx12 was a requirement.

So sadly still quite a bit time until we are ready to launch it.

Maintenance-mode confirmed:
- DX12 patch in an eternal "we are still working on it, trust us" mode
- Slowly approaching 3 months since the last bugfix patch

This is such a train wreck. I wasn't this angry about Gothic 3. My heart sank when I read that PB was purchased by THQ Nordic. Those feelings have been validated. I pre-purchased the game solely based on the quality and love for every previous PB game. Plus, people get banned from the discord and threads get locked because the-powers-that-be cannot tolerate people displaying their anger over this situation. Also, there are many changes from Elex I to II that are obviously due to orders from execs at THQ Nordic, and it really screws with continuity and suspension of disbelief. TRAIN WRECK. I don't think about the Gothic remake at all, because of all of this. I stopped playing at 50 hours in when I read about the DX12 patch. Of course, I bought the game from GOG and are thus screwed as they won't release a standalone beta patch to download. NEVER AGAIN,

Not a single person or thread have ever been locked or banned due to critic, there is tons of posts and people that discuss this all the time, but the difference is they are quite civil about it and therefore is allowed to stay.

Very big difference on how to give critic and what is allowed on the steam forums.

Wrong. You banned me from the discord channel after I defended another user from a toxic user/ apologist who was attacking the user for sharing a bug that they thought was a "waste of PB/THQ Nordic time" and when I made the claim that GOG users are treated like 3rd class citizens in the same post. Jumping back in with a different account showed that the toxic apologist attacker was not banned. Like I said: train wreck. PB pulled through the Gothic 3 fiasco, but I am having doubts about their future under THQ Nordic and this current fiasco.

I generally don't discuss bans but that is not why you were banned at all, if you wish to know more about why you were banned you are welcome to add me and we can have a civil discussion about it.

No need; I know what I posted and the ban immediately followed (within a few seconds) and of you making a post treating everyone like children except for the person who started it the argument by attacking someone sharing a bug (with video) and then doubling down on their ill treatment of the person trying to help fix the game. Besides, there is never any news there about the patch, GOG, or anything else and favoritism isn't cool, so it is moot.

People are CLEARLY angry and all they get is either nothing, or "we are working on it, for months." Meanwhile, Steam users report all over the place how great the performance is with the beta patch that only they get to enjoy.

I’m looking forward to next week’s instalments of what is currently my favourite soap opera.

They really screwed up Jax in this game. Do you remember Jax talking to the outlaw in the fort with the Ray contracts, in Elex 1? That Jax is a hardcore badass. Elex II Jax, with the mopey face and saggy/wimpy shoulders and the terrible voice acting, is a completely different character.

In ELEX it is Alb Commander Jax, who gets role-playing options to either explore his suppressed emotional human side or to return to thinking & working like an Alb soldier again.

In ELEX II, Jax is more than a few years older, has become much less of a former Alb, the "Cold" system is gone, and if you want to role-play him as a "badass", there is the new "Destruction" threshold and the paths of the Morkons.

Btw, it's a different voice actor in the sequel, English version. I'm one of those, who don't find the voice-acting in ELEX and ELEX II "terrible".

I know all of this. Six years isn't enough to turn a character into a mopey wimp. The voice actor chosen for Jax in Elex II sounds NOTHING like Jax from Elex one. Also, he was living on his own in the wilderness, hunting for his food and more than likley having to kill hostile beasts. He shouldn't look like emo-Jax. Elex I Jax was awesome (regardless of cold level.) Elex II Jax looks and sounds like a depressed wimp.

Funny how you only mention locking threads + banning people while completely omitting how you purge comments like mine that are civil, but brutally candid in dissecting your "quality" work and "top-tier" communication.

Shall I post the link to a screenshot to prove my point, or will said screenshot yet again be purged?

I know which of your comments was deleted, tho that was not done by me, there is multiple moderators not to mention valve moderators when a post is reported, so not everything is me ^^

That being said, I do delete comments/posts if they break steam ToS/Guidelines or is off topic that is accurate.

Unpopular opinion here:
I stopped playing the game, since it constantly crashed, has hard performance issues und overheated my pc every hour or so. I am a bit angry and sad, since I, as everyone else here, just want to enjoy the game, BUT I don't get how being at each other's throats is helping anything.

General discussions not only here, but all over social media, with devs etc. have become so angry and hatefueled.
Shouldn't we be in the same boat?

And yes, there could be more communication by PB, as to what's up with the updates.
But that's a COULD - if that makes sense.

For now my review of this game is negativ, but I am open to change it, when things hopefully get sorted out.

Please understand that the blame belongs to THQ Nordic and only to THQ Nordic. This happens EVERY time a good company is purchased by a publisher.

1. Made PB make changes and additions for various reasons *cough*politics*cough*
2. Didn't hype up the game (a publisher needs to sell the game to the public long before it is released.)
3. Forced a release before it was ready (One of EA's favorite things to do.)
4. Released the game at the same time as over-hyped Elden Ring (add points 1-3 to this for an absolute train wreck/dumpster fire.) Elden Ring, which despite the popularity of From Software, had A LOT of advertising and hype in order to ensure sales.
5. Doesn't communicate with the angry fan base who were essentially ROBBED until the game is fixed.
6. Isn't working with other platforms in order to get us the beta patch. Again, now that THQ Nordic OWNS PB (I hate typing that out, every time I have to do it,) it is on the PUBLISHER to work these things out.

I am also to blame. Despite knowing what was going to happen after THQ Nordic bought PB, I pre-ordered the game. I gambled my money because I enjoy ALL PB games, just some more than others. My misguided faith has resulted in an incomplete and broken game on my hard drive that I paid $45 for. I gave it 50 hours, but enough was enough. I still hope for a peaceful resolution and a good future for PB, but I am not going to get my hopes up.

I hope that ALL indie studios are paying attention and NEVER SELL their souls to a publisher.

Hot take here. I strongly disagree. THQ Nordic did not force anything but for the game to release on time.
