I've not heard any updates yet sadly, as soon as I hear something I will post it ofc.

In ELEX II, Jax is more than a few years older, has become much less of a former Alb, the "Cold" system is gone, and if you want to role-play him as a "badass", there is the new "Destruction" threshold and the paths of the Morkons.
Btw, it's a different voice actor in the sequel, English version. I'm one of those, who don't find the voice-acting in ELEX and ELEX II "terrible".
I know which of your comments was deleted, tho that was not done by me, there is multiple moderators not to mention valve moderators when a post is reported, so not everything is me ^^
That being said, I do delete comments/posts if they break steam ToS/Guidelines or is off topic that is accurate.

I stopped playing the game, since it constantly crashed, has hard performance issues und overheated my pc every hour or so. I am a bit angry and sad, since I, as everyone else here, just want to enjoy the game, BUT I don't get how being at each other's throats is helping anything.
General discussions not only here, but all over social media, with devs etc. have become so angry and hatefueled.
Shouldn't we be in the same boat?
And yes, there could be more communication by PB, as to what's up with the updates.
But that's a COULD - if that makes sense.
For now my review of this game is negativ, but I am open to change it, when things hopefully get sorted out.
Overheating is a clear symptom of underdesigned cooling power. A properly built PC would not overheat even if running at full throttle. And overheating can cause hardware instabilities too, so beware!
Perhaps work an option into the games settings to switch between the two? I know the last 2 Tomb Raider games had the option as well as Metro Exodus. Basically restarts the game when you switch and launches it from a different exe

I'd rather they take their time and iron out as many issues as they can before releasing it.
Also, I hope they add DLSS support while they're in there making the DX12 renderer.
DX12 is part of their ongoing development of their graphics engine anyway, regardless of the state of development of their "current project" (= next game they are working on). And since the beta release of ELEX II is affected by various rendering issues, it is very obvious that it cannot be released as is, because the changes for DX12 are not complete yet.
Someone from Piranha Bytes, who knows the internals, could tell about their game engine design, modularity and such, and whether the graphics engine stuff works like a replaceable backend component that can be upgraded without pulling in unrelated changes which may break the game elsewhere.
It is not a matter of "we can't" but "we don't want to do that". It is common business practice of them to not disclose anything about their "current project" before something is ready enough as to be shown or as to start talking about it. One can speculate all day that their current project is working on ELEX III, but still it will be necessary to wait for them to open the flood gates and start talking and e.g. start showing alpha state footage. With the continued work on the DX12 stuff, it's the same, but talking about it before it's ready makes no sense.
So far, so good.
Clearly you have noticed that the released and patched game is playable and has been "completed" by quite some players, not only those that published guides and walkthroughs.
After what I've experienced while playing the game and while following topics that discussed regression caused by the patches, I'm not aware of any immediate reason to release a 5th patch that doesn't improve the performance the DX12 support is hoped to improve.
Then you haven't paid attention. PB don't publish an ETA for patches (and not for their next game either). That the support for DX12 is only available as a beta release is enough of a hint that they don't consider the DX12 support final - but still they are interested in feedback from guinea pigs, since typically public beta testing leads to finding more bugs than the more limited in-house testing with a finite set of hardware/runtime environments.
