Is it a bug or just bad game design to take fall damage from your own jumos?
Kinda ...special...that as your jump skill gets up, your character jumps higher then he or she can take, and can kill yourself by jumping...

well, go find a trampoline or swing, get way up in the air, and jump off/out of it, see if it hurts when you land...

yeah....but if I jumped that high without a trampoline like I am in game..I'd work for the circus...

Depends who you ask
Since the developer made no statement i just assume its a feature for them.
For the most player its a bug
For a few player its not Challenging enough and they would love if your PC would jump out of the window if that happens. Pretty sure someone allready send a request to intel

The problem is that the jump high works, but if you jump just 2 meter deeper (what is not allways seeable in this 2D game (yes the monitor is still 2D)) it can kill you

Just to be clear, in game you can stand flat footed and land and kill yourself (or even just take damage)? I am not being a jerk here I am honestly curious. I have never gotten my jump level to a point where that happened.

If you are jumping downhill and killing yourself you got no one else to blame. Even if real life that's a great way to get yourself hurt/killed.

If you jump with 100 Skill you get no damage on the same high, but you are at the maxmimum high you take no damage, arround 2m high difference kills you if you are unbuffed. And 1-2 meter is more or less everywhere you dont jump uphill

I have not gotten jump to 100 but even at lower levels if you are running and jump onto some items like logs or rocks and keep running as you land and then jump again immediately (kangaroo hopping), you can like alley oop jump and it does hurt a bit when landing. You add just enough height from the rock or log to add fall damage. I don't know if it is intended but you can spring off of things if you jump just right and you can actually hurt yourself quite a bit sometimes.

I remember a situation where my character was "static" and took a little dps (like smoke dps), except that it was shacking with a "landslide" noise. I was likely half-falling and caught between a tower wall and a ladder. So I'd answer, yes, you can, but it looks like a very edge effect situation.

Also, I'm not sure if this is always recalled, but in this game, you are absolutely not deemed to wander around with the belly empty. You never was already, and since H&H you're even more like a crying baby if you dare (or rather, if you forget to eat).
