Honestly though N-64 graphics looked nothing like Valheim... Get over yourself and enjoy a great game.

Valheim doesn't do photorealistic models. We're not here for the pores on our characters' faces. It does however do an excellent job with lighting. The sun and shadows create some pretty fantastic views. Valheim has what I like to call "effective" graphics. They're not high end because they don't need to be. They convey everything the game needs and still create things of beauty. All on a veritable pinhead's worth of hard drive space compared to many modern games.

LOL no. its like that so its simple to complete. they say its stylistic design but that couldnt be far from the truth. devs obviously arent skilled enough make the game have propper graphics

Imho the game looks quite nice. It just performs absolutely abyssmal for it's graphics. It should run on every toaster with flawless and stutterless 60fps in 1080p.

in case you didn't know it is a "Unity Ëngine", the same used for the forest, conan exiles etc.
Amazingly as said above the graphics is pixelated , i guess like nintendo engine but not familiar wth that, but by choice and is amazingly beautiful.
The ocean and boat dynamics is brilliant.
Only my view maybe not yours.
