Linux: AMD Catalyst 15.7 fixes missing texture bug in Radeons older than 7000 series
Not mentioned in the release notes but it appears Bioshock Infinite now displays textures properly with the latest proprietary Catalyst drivers for Linux on my Radeon HD 5850.

Looks like AMD fixed GL_EXT_texture_compression_rgtc on older GPUs.

Can others confirm?

Yes, I can confirm the resolving of this issue with Catalyst 15.7 for Radeon HD5850.

we have fixed this issue in latest Staging Drivers, Next Catalyst will have this fix
So Catalyst 15.7 resolves problem.

Yeah. The game system requirement notes can probably be changed. The game runs fine on Radeon 5000 series and better now. 4000 and older won't work because Catalyst 15.7 doesn't support those but eventually Mesa and the r600 driver will reach OpenGL 4.x compliance--Mesa is very close already to 4.2 but the drivers lag behind.
