Bioshock infinite on win 10 Black screen start up and then crashes.
Not sure if anyone else have this problem but when i upgraded my pc and proceeded to install windows 10 and all of my steam games, bioshock infinite would not start. When i ran the game it would just be a black screen and sounds in the background for a few seconds before crashing.

I tried running the game in compatiblity mode but had no luck of getting the game to stop crashing. So if anyone knows a fix it would be greatly appreciated.

I am assuming here that i will get some resposnes like 'I can run the game just fine' but im not looking for those, I am looking for suggestions on how to run bioshock on windows 10 without getting a black screen. I have read some fourm posts written a couple of years ago from other users about the game just outright will not run on windows 10, along with a quote from the developers stating the occuring issue with bioshock infinite on windows 10 and they will look into it,

First of all run an Integrity Check of the Local Games Cache to make sure there isn't a bad file someplace. Then run BSI's Benchmark utility so the game isn't trying to use old and incorrect settings. Also make sure your drivers are up to date. Then trying runing Steam as an Administrator. Also make sure you don't have something called Razor for games running. sm

It might be the old DX 11 problem. https://steamcommunity.com/app/8870/discussions/0/828934724090557861/

Thanks, Solarmech. I have somehow overcame the issue, I hope it doesn't occur again any time soon.
