Stuttering/freezing fix ?
Kinda kill the game when the game freeze, at launch I never really had such issues but now it doesn't matter if I put the game on very low, remove everything etc etc etc the game just stutter/freeze.

The page file stuff doesn't work, admin doesn't work, tried a lot of settings.

I have win 7, an NVIDIA graphic card, updated directX 11 and NVIDIA drivers and I only have such issues with this game, I do tend to have such issues with denuvo games only for some reason.

Turning Texture Quality up to 2GB, for me, fixed the stuttering. Before that I had it at 1GB and got stuttering.

I had to bring Shadow Quality down from high to medium as, due to how I previously set my GFX options, I had gone over my allotted 4GB for my GTX 980. Afterwards I was sitting st roughly 3.6/7GB of VRAM usage.

So you went from 1GB use to 2GB and it worked ?

I have a GTX 970 on this PC (my lowest PC) and even at 1,50 GB and everything at minimum I get freeze, on what resolution do you play RE2 ? (I play at 1900 x ???).

Mostly did it on MGS5 forum, since we got the nuclear achievement the phantom pain died, I still do it for people that enjoy it, it was fun seeing people rage but it also got me banned at some point because a moderator believed that it was an insult since too many people complaigned about it.

Already did, tried this:

Install the latest Intel integrated drivers[downloadcenter.intel.com]
Reboot your PC
Open Nvidia Control Panel
Click 'Manage 3D Settings'
Go to 'Program Settings' and then select the game (if it is not in the list you can add it manually by clicking 'Add')
Scroll down to 'Power Management Mode'
Set it to 'Prefer Maximum Performance' / ‘High Performance Processor’ instead of 'Adaptive'
Close Nvidia Control Panel and launch the game

Preset: focus on performance.

Disabled:
- film grain
- shadow cache
- light reflection

Minimum:
- shadow
- light particles.

Can you send that as a submission to the Nvidia CC dude here?

Have you tried rolling back drivers?
Apparently 399.24 helps.

It's still here, I lowered the resolution at some point too and disabled steam overlay, so it's pretty sure that it as something to do with NVIDIA. (Yeah I used the 399.24 drivers, had 411.70 and 411.71, I'll try rolling back to 411.70 since that may solve the issue)

I'll send a report later, thank you for your efforts.
Your welcome. Im sure there will be a new driver update soon seems many are having problems.

Yeah and I’m not getting the stutters in the main hall where I normally would, for instance.

1920x1080. 60Hz and VSync locked @ 60 FPS.

Well I tried all that, guess I'll have to wait for a new NVIDIA driver update.

What people misunderstand is that the number behind the texture quality is the amount of swap file you will allocate. This is why setting it to high values, even way beyond your VRAM, reduces stutter, since it stores all textures in the memory and reduces disk usage. So, set it at least to 2 GB or higher.
