This is nothing less than a criminal scam!

They scam you out of your money with false promises, keep repeating those for FOUR YEARS, only to bait&switch in the eleventh hour, and then they have the ♥♥♥♥ing audacity to tell you to be happy about this?!

They refuse to refund?!

This is beyond insulting!

Developers and perhaps even more so publishers need to wake to the present day reality. While console is moving towards inclusion (cross platform), moves like this do the polar opposite. You have your Electronic Art's, Activisions, and even Bethesda is moving/has moved out of favour and could be lumped in to this group too now days. Setting examples of what not to do, and how to piss off a player base and even kill a once loved franchise.

Then you have CDPR setting the bar even higher as for an example of how to make games, how to distribute them, and how to please you fans aka customers aka player base.

With all this you have Epic creating a literal

storm on the PC market. Winning only the ire of gamers everywhere, and in spades at that! Something you would have to be insane to associate with beyond selling your game there too (assuming it is also available on other platforms).

Whomever is in charge of this decision should be fired on the spot. Then run out of this industry permanently and then never allowed to make any critical decisions again. You just in one move crushed a developer that will never be able to sell a game or crowd fund development again. While giving pirates (as if they needed any) a sound reason to pirate your product instead of being forced to use an unsafe launcher from an untrusted company we cannot even be certain will be around to keep a digital license viable in the future or even near future.

Also Deep silver you are on my

list for life now. You better pull some amazing PR campaign if you want to ever make money publishing games on PC moving forward. Your short term gains here will be the most costly you have ever made.

The worst part is that this is a Japanese company. If Japanese companies are known for in this world is to usually honor their deal. Times are changing I guess.

The publisher is to blame, not the devs. Publisher is Deep Silver, not a Japanese company.

No, Ys Net is equally to blame, because they are the ones now actively refusing refunds.
And they were the ones who promised us Steam for 4 years!

Class action time. This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I'm so tired of these scams. I don't even care about the money, but I backed this to play it on Steam, and even repurchased the 1 and 2 to freshen up on things. We need to send a message to these crooks

This is a damn joke, epic store can die in hell if that depends on me, i dont plan on supporting such a disgusting company with 0 respect for gamers or fans and with an even more hypocrite CEO. I demand my refund or ill make my ways to have a refund, this isnt what i backed the game for! I hope this one finally backlashes at 100% unlike metro.

YS and Deep Silver, this was the last cent you got from me for sure! Thanks for respecting players that have been waiting for a sequel of the story for decades and backstabbing 7.1million dollar backers into this SCAM decision!
