Mission 3 "End" Button Bug

I've encountered a bug with the "End" button in Mission 3, "Bamboo Pentagon". I'm able to complete the mission properly, except for the last step- pressing the "End" button. This button seems to work fine in completion screens for Missions 1 & 2, but no matter what I try this bug keeps preventing me from advancing past Mission 3.

I've tried a great deal of different approaches, including:
- Restarting the level
- Restarting the campaign
- Re-installing the local game files, and restarting a new campaign
- Installing the game on another computer with a different OS, re-installing the local game files, and restarting the campaign
- Installing the game on another computer with the same OS, re-installing the local game files, and restarting the campaign
- fiddling with graphics settings and restarting the level

Nothing seems to work. I really enjoy this game and I'd love to finish the campaign, but I'm at my wits end!

PS There are already threads on this in the "Bugs" forum, but they haven't received response so in case "Bugs" isn't monitored thought I'd flag it in General Discussion too.

This is the same person as OP, bought & installed the game on a friend's Steam account (this one), and it doesn't work on this one either. :(

They seem to have abandoned the game, sadly

For anyone encountering this bug, I was finally able to get around it by choosing not to rescue the pilots at the beginning. I think the game doesn't like something about adding them to your squad, so you've gotta just leave them out there...

I got the same error at the end of Mission 4, however, and haven't figured out why yet...

Yeah I just got the same bug on Bamboo Pentagon. So, this game is broken and not very playable.

I have this bug in the first mission as well. Don't expect any help from the dev, they released it so they are not held accountable for all of the bugs they never fixed.

Waste of money really. The dev did an actual cut, and run. I'll never support these crooks ever again.
