Mod to improve slow textures, HDR, FOV, UW & DLSS to 3.1.30 released!
Remedy’s programmer just released a new mod. It improves a lot for the game including streaming textures.

If you have streaming issues with textures it’s def worth a try. Especially since it’s coming from Remedy’s own this should def help.

I guess 505 games doesn’t like its fanbase and won’t release as an official patch.

  • Native HDR (improves color accuracy/banding, allows greater contrast and brighter highlights).
  • Improved quality of SDR output (10bit->no more color banding, slightly better dynamic range).
  • Upgraded DLSS to 3.1.30 and improved its implementation (it's also now compatible with FSR 2.X injection).
  • Added DLAA support (DLSS at native resolution).
  • Added a new "Max" texture setting to improve the slow texture streaming (min 8GB+ VRAM, 10GB+ are recommended).
  • Added a new setting to use 3x as samples for ray tracing and volumetrics, increasing the quality and reducing noise (this is VERY expensive).
  • Fixed broken ray tracing reflections.
  • Fixed low shadow quality when ray tracing was on.
  • Full UltraWide support: unlock any resolution and aspect ratio, including 32:9+.
  • Some FOV and LOD fixes for UW. Fixed UI issues at non 16:9 aspect ratios (e.g. enemies health bars were displaced).
  • Added a FOV Multiplier config setting `m_fFOVMultiplier` (the game and UI are designed for the default FOV, so only use for accessibility reasons).
  • Add a config to skip the intro video `m_bSkipIntroVideos`.
  • Improved window+borderless+fullscreen management.
  • Fixed the game not launching correctly on non Nvidia non AMD GPUs (e.g. Intel Arc).
  • Restored film grain with DLSS. Tweaked the film grain implementation.
  • Minor crash fixes, bug fixes and features.
DLSS 3.5 will not be implemented. Sorry.

Version 1.5.1 is up.

It fixes the hiss/smoke effect on enemies being too bright in HDR.

What's is this? Just tried to play it in my proper 21:9 aspect ratio, and frames was terrible. Even to 25. Loaded game at 120 frames, after few seconds fps dropped down to 90, to 75, 55, 40, 35 and stopped at 25.

Guess I'll be waiting for the supposed update to this that will actually prevent HDR from enabling in Windows even if you've disabled it in game, which should have been defaulted to off with this mod to begin with as some of us just want consistent high res textures in their game.

Salt about that aside, thanks for posting. Will keep an eye out for any update that resolves the above issue and just play something else until then.

Well, new settings were added. See which one is causing a loss in frames. Also look into windowed, borderless, FS is causing an issue for you.

Awesome, thank you for this!

After mucking around with the 1.1 version, this allows me to turn everything to maximum except RT reflections. Normal reflections on medium, volumetric lighting on medium. 3060 gets 100~ to 120 fps in most situations, when before I was working with 75-80 with lower settings.

Decided to give this another go and just alt-tab to windows settings to disable HDR when it loads.
Yup, this does what I was looking for with the texture streaming fix, looks great!
I don't see it noted, but I feel like reflections got an update as well? Not that I thought they were poor before, but I feel like they weren't quite this detailed...Using DLSS Quality mode

1.1 has been released. It fixes that issue.

Sweet! Thank you!

Edit: yup, no longer auto toggles HDR on in windows.
The updated RT setting...I'm aware increasing the amount of rays used will impact performance, but damn he's not kidding when saying it's VERY expensive. ~25-30 FPS hit. Will stick with that and HDR disabled for now, with everything else added on.

This is probably not because of the patch.

It turns out that happened if users had set a "m_fHDRMaxNitsOverride" to a specific value. It's fixed in version 1.1.1.

I updated the OP to reflect the changes. Thanks for letting us know!

I welcome this mod, only think i'm curious is for the update dlss. i fixed the texture issue with mods. other than that i'm solid no crashes for me. HDR difference is minor, you can hardly tell while playing

1440p. HRD its up to preference. more saturation/colors. not all game work well with it.

Control with native HDR doesn't have neither more saturation nor color. That's not what HDR is about. It's about realistic looking specular highlights and just better highlights/contrast in general, which makes the image lifelike. With the addition of more detail (less banding).
HDR gets a bad reputation because some monitors just have awful implementations of it (e.g. HDR at 400 nits is often worse than SDR).
