1. How many levels have you completed? *Please make sure you have completed at least 5 levels before writing this report.
6 levels

2. Do you suffer from any motion sickness from playing the game?
Not at all

3. Are your HTC Vive controllers working well in this game? Are you able to pick up ingredients from the refrigerator, cook, stack burger etc without experiencing glitches?
Please elaborate if you have experienced problem using Vive controllers in this game.
Button for the fries does not seem to work as well with the right hand for some reason

4. Is the game running smoothly in your PC? Do you experience any freeze/lag during game play?
Sometimes I am getting flashes of wide grey vertical bars on the right side.

5. Is there any game play bug you have noticed in this game? Please elaborate
haven't seen any critical bugs yet

6. Any suggestion/comment? Please elaborate.
- perhaps add a way to accomodate for height, as a kid that is 48 inches tall has problems reaching everything
- would be even more challenging if the burger orders had different ingredients. plain burger, burger with cheese only, burger with cheese and meat only, ect

otherwise pretty fun game, it will be one of those games i will demo to people who never played VR before.

1 - level 5
2 - no
3 - mostly yes. Grabbing tomato at the same time as lettuce often missed tomato. passing a plated dish to the tray without looking seem to grab wrong plate(could be my fault)
4 - game running smoothly but grey/shadow artifact flickers during head movement occasionally(same as player above me)
5 - no big bugs that i can see
6 - comments/suggestions:
- game is lacking variety and is very repetitive
- being able to switch items between trays before order is complete
- making fries should include prep instead of just turning on the deep fryer
- add soft drinks to orders
- food should burn if left too long
- different burger combinations

hi guys, thank you so much for the feedback!
It seems like this issue "grey/shadow artifact flickers" is new to us.
Could someone here make a video of it?
Thank you!

I'm currently in the crashes at launch club. Will update when possible.

1. How many levels have you completed? *Please make sure you have completed at least 5 levels before writing this report.

7

2. Do you suffer from any motion sickness from playing the game?

Nope

3. Are your HTC Vive controllers working well in this game? Are you able to pick up ingredients from the refrigerator, cook, stack burger etc without experiencing glitches?
Please elaborate if you have experienced problem using Vive controllers in this game.

Usings the fries can be very finicky, right hand doesnt work very well with it, seems to be some collision issues with putting things on plates/moving things around. If I do it too quickly theyll collide and glitch out. Also if you try to hold a plate in one hand and stack things on it, didn't always work.

4. Is the game running smoothly in your PC? Do you experience any freeze/lag during game play?
No freezing or lag, but gray flashes would show up intermittently, I think it might have something to do with the smoke from the cooking?

5. Is there any game play bug you have noticed in this game? Please elaborate
Only issue I had is that for some reason the play space itself sets up outside of my actual room scale area, IE the menus and the side of the countertop you get buns from are about 4 inches out of play area, whereas the opposite side I can walk through the rear wall and stand outside the play area.

6. Any suggestion/comment? Please elaborate.
Pretty fun game, needs more recipes to add variety, probably beverages and more indepth sides.
Would personally prefer the plate drawer could be closed and opened as well, and maybe utilize other storage locations in the space.
Mr 305  [developer] Jun 5, 2018 @ 7:42pm
Fries machine button bug has been fixed.
Now you can easily reach out to fries machine with right hand.
We also updated visual effect particles for cooking process. Now "gray flashing" issue should be reduced.

1. Level 7

2. No motion sickness

3. HTC Vive controllers working well. Occasionally activiting fryer button not registering. About 1 in 20 presses. Perhaps just the speed of the action.

4. Running smoothly. No freezes so far.

5. Possible bug. After completing the one of the first 5 levels, screen jumped out to default Vive boundary grid environment. Jumped back into game screen stating level completed after about 5 seconds. I thought the game had crashed. Ran fine after that though.

6. Any suggestion/comment?
a) After going into the options screen for the first time, spent about 3 minutes trying to get out of it. There was an "exit" button to the left, however I was not sure if it was to exit out of the game completely. After searching for other options and none was present, had no choice but to try the exit button. Of course that was the proper button and it was simply a noob move. Nonetheless, perhaps it could have been labelled as "Main Menu" button for noobs on first encounter.

b) During the game, the "pause/Menu" book on the left shelf only works when in an actual game. When in between levels, there's no way to return to main menu unless the player actually enters the next level and utilize the
pause/Menu" book. Perhaps the book should be active as a trigger in between levels.

c) Possibly during the game to have the ability to take back items from the tray before pickup, unless that was the intention of the game. For instance, after completing the order for tray 1, the waitress picks up the order and slowly delivers it. The overhead todo list #1 remains active. From the speed, I tend to read that as a new order and mistakenly place the same item on the new tray. Of course the item remains locked and the waitress delivers the wrong items for the next order for number 1. In a more realistic scenario, the cook, after realizing his mistake, should be able to take the item off the tray before pickup, since it's within reach. The food item should not be locked down on the tray prior to the actual pickup. Then again, perhaps the frustration adds on to the fun.

Great work though. This is much more fun that the cooking portion of "Job Simulator". The competition portion is great. However, by level 15 or so, I'm wondering if things would be too repetitive. I'll know when I get there. As a tester stated earlier, perhaps holding lettuce, ketchup and the like would crank things up a notch. However, the size and resolution of the items on the overhead order queue does not allow for easy differentiation. Lowering the playing field option for shorter players would also be helpful.

1. How many levels have you completed?

6 levels.

2. Do you suffer from any motion sickness from playing the game?

Nope, not at all.

3. Are your HTC Vive controllers working well in this game? Are you able to pick up ingredients from the refrigerator, cook, stack burger etc without experiencing glitches?
Please elaborate if you have experienced problem using Vive controllers in this game.

Yes, they work quite well, but:
When your hands are empty there is a delay between triggering it and actually closing. (maybe use GetState().rAxis1.x to make the hands more realistic)

4. Is the game running smoothly in your PC? Do you experience any freeze/lag during game play?

I have a mid-range GPU (GTX 1060) and haven't encountered any lag or freezing.

5. Is there any game play bug you have noticed in this game? Please elaborate

The glass domes in the upgrade room will occasionally flicker.
The "successfull buy" sound plays even when you don't have enough money to buy it.

6. Any suggestion/comment? Please elaborate.

Fun game, but after a while it gets really, really repetitive. Maybe add more recipies and ingredients? Or make it so sometimes people will ask for a burger without tomatoes, hot dog withoud mustard, etc..

When you accidentally place an item in the wrong tray you can't pick it back up, I don't know if this is intentional or not, but it sure is frustrating.

Make the collider on the fridge a bit bigger so it is easier to open/close.

Also, adding trading cards and lots of achievements is a nice way to keep players engaged.

Mr 305  [developer] Jun 14, 2018 @ 2:20am
hi guys, thank you so much for the feedback and suggestions.
Here's a few things we wanted to ask your opinion of:

1. Add more recipes (a burger without tomatoes, hot dog withoud mustard, plain burger, burger with cheese only, burger with cheese and meat only etc...)

- If we add these variation, wouldn't it be hard for you as a player to distinguish the order from the monitor?

2. Height adjustable
- Yes. We are thinking of making table height adjustable.

3. Making tray items removable?
Won't it be more fun(frustrating) if you can't remove the items after placing on the tray?
The game might become very easy if the chef can move and replace items as he wishes.

Thanks!

1. How many levels have you completed? *Please make sure you have completed at least 5 levels before writing this report.
5

2. Do you suffer from any motion sickness from playing the game?
No, but I never get motion sick.

3. Are your HTC Vive controllers working well in this game? Are you able to pick up ingredients from the refrigerator, cook, stack burger etc without experiencing glitches?
Please elaborate if you have experienced problem using Vive controllers in this game.
The controllers work great. No issues.

4. Is the game running smoothly in your PC? Do you experience any freeze/lag during game play?
Yes. No lag or freezes.

5. Is there any game play bug you have noticed in this game? Please elaborate
Might not be a bug, but after I've placed a dish on the serving tray, I can't seem to pick it up again.

6. Any suggestion/comment? Please elaborate.
The game gets repetitive real fast. I don't think 3 different meals are enough for people to keep playing. There should be more things to serve, like drinks, extra salt/pepper, napkins etc.
During downtime when waiting for a new customer, you can just keep cooking and piling up dishes, as you know someone will want a burger/hot dog soon. The food should get cold after a while so you can't server it.

1. How many levels have you completed?
  • I completed the first 5 levels. Tested with Occulus Rift.

2. Do you suffer from any motion sickness from playing the game?
  • I experienced some light motion sickness because of frame drops when moving fast. That's rather unusual with my configuration (I7 / GTX1070EX)

3. Are your HTC Vive controllers working well in this game? Are you able to pick up ingredients from the refrigerator, cook, stack burger etc without experiencing glitches?
  • I had a problem first with the gameplay area. My gameplay zone was too narrow and salad was in the wall. I had to reconfigure my gamezone to a larger area (2.5x1.5m), and even with this it wasn't confortable. I wish I could pick up elements by attracting them (like in other games like 'I expect you to die' for example). My other complaint is that taking salad cheese and tomatos in the fridge was annoying, because I had to do twice the movement to get the three elements, and the hand collision seems to happen in middle of the hand instead of fingers. For me it wasn't confortable, but I succefully completed the levels and appart of that it was fun.

4. Is the game running smoothly in your PC? Do you experience any freeze/lag during game play?
  • No, like I said I experienced some frame drops when moving or turning head too fast. It was micro-lags. This problem is only ingame, not in the menus.

5. Is there any game play bug you have noticed in this game? Please elaborate
  • I didn't experienced any bug.

6. Any suggestion/comment? Please elaborate.
  • Like I said, it would be really great to be able to attract the elements with the hands. Bending back to get ingredients in the fridge was really annoying for me, I would have prefered to have the ingredients on the desk like a well-organized cook would do. I would also add the possibility to adjust the aera zone (in x,y position, height, and also in size between 80%-120%), to set up comfortably the game. Also I would add a quit button to exit the game, it's always nice instead to have to use the steam or occulus overlays to close the app.

Anyway congrats for the game, it's good start I think and fun to play right now.

1. How many levels have you completed?

- Five

2. Do you suffer from any motion sickness from playing the game?

- No, I did not suffer from any motion sickness.

3. Are your HTC Vive controllers working well in this game? Are you able to pick up ingredients from the refrigerator, cook, stack burger etc without experiencing glitches?
Please elaborate if you have experienced problem using Vive controllers in this game.

- I have other cooking games in VR and picking up plates or food is sometimes hit or miss but while playing, "The Cooking Game VR" I kept saying how fluid and great the controllers worked compared to other games in my library. However, when placing the second fry basket, I did have trouble picking up the fries from the second basket (the one farthest away from the player). I did have an issue with the play area at first, it seemed to be too close to me when the game loaded.

4. Is the game running smoothly in your PC? Do you experience any freeze/lag during game play?

- Yes, the game ran well (1060 6gb). I did not notice any freeze or lag whatsoever while playing.

5. Is there any game play bug you have noticed in this game? Please elaborate.

- Other than the fry basket, I have not experienced any bugs yet.

6. Any suggestion/comment? Please elaborate.

- I do like the idea of more recipes with different ingredients/condiments. More food options would also be fun. Perhaps (if there is an issue with not being able the see the screens), maybe we could have a smaller monitor at the work station somewhere? I like how the setup currently is though. I also would agree that a height adjuster would be great. I also DO like the idea of removing items from trays, however, I also like how it's currently a challenge since I'm not able to correct a mistake. It seems like the overall challenge concept of the game benefits from this. Maybe there could be a toggle to turn this on or off or different settings for different difficulty levels where "Easy" would allow for them to be removable? I really like how this game is different than the other burger/cooking games that I've played. I actually WANTED to complete the work and serve the customers as fast as I could. Great job so far!

thank you! How do you like the latest leaderboard system?
1. How many levels have you completed? *Please make sure you have completed at least 5 levels before writing this report.

All 30! It seems I am the first....

2. Do you suffer from any motion sickness from playing the game?

Not at all. Left side gets more of a work out from getting stuff from the fridge.

3. Are your HTC Vive controllers working well in this game? Are you able to pick up ingredients from the refrigerator, cook, stack burger etc without experiencing glitches?
Please elaborate if you have experienced problem using Vive controllers in this game.

The mustard rattles around sometime when I put too many things on the table. It hangs behind the bread basket if it ends up there and to reset I have to push the mustard off the table.

4. Is the game running smoothly in your PC? Do you experience any freeze/lag during game play?

Runs great.

5. Is there any game play bug you have noticed in this game? Please elaborate

See the mustard comment above.
Level 24 took a long time. It wasn’t spawning enough hat customers. Sometimes less than 10 total. I finally got a good map after many restarts. That’s the first level I was the only one on the leaderboard so maybe people gave up.

6. Any suggestion/comment? Please elaborate.

Look forward to the upcoming plans you have. I think the no lettuce, tomato, cheese combinations would be hard to see on the order screen. Height adjuster would be helpful. Maybe a busboy later in the game with dirty trays that you have to get out of the way of the clean trays.

Great Game! Thank you!!!
