My game hangs on the epilepsy warning. / Black screen on first run.

This is usually a Linux bug with the Unity engine to do with corrupted settings, running your game in a window resolves the issue.

Simply add

'-screen-fullscreen 0'

to your launch options in Steam and this should let you get to the main menu.
