SBZ won't launch
Subnautica below zero will not launch at all. Have tried launching from Steam and tried opening from the exe too but no luck.
I have tried restarting Steam, verifying integrity, reinstalling, and restarting my computer all to no avail. Has anyone else seen this problem?

Looking at the Windows Application logs I see the following. Looks like maybe an issue with Unity on my system? Not sure where subnautica logs are kept.

Nevermind. Figured it out. If you have Citrix Workspace app installed it prevents the game from launching. Hopefully there is a fix planned for this soon as I require Workspace for my job.

Yep - Citrix Workspace - can confirm.

Was having the exact problem. Tried your solution and it does run after removing Citrix Workspace.

Ok - but how the hell did you figure out it was CW? What clue showed you the connection?

Some other people with similar symptoms (game won't launch) reported adding -force-opengl or -force-open-gl or something to the command line fixed it. I don't know if your problem with citrix and that other problem overlap at all, but if someone running citrix could try the opengl thing it might be interesting.

Same issue here. Also confirming Citrix

I can't say I did anything clever to find the conflict, The issue is referenced in the troubleshooting FAQ here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=448862051

I uninstalled Citrix Workspace to test and SBW booted right up. Supposedly this is related to a conflict with Unity and NVIDIA drivers and is fixed in a more current version of Unity. So should hopefully be fixed in the future

I had to reinstall CW for work so I'll mess around with it and see if I can get it working while it's installed.

As a temporary fix you can open Device Manager > System Devices > then disable 'Citrix Virtual Bus Enumerator'

Yep Citrix Here too, disabling citrix vitual bus did it, thanks!
