Tortoise

I have searched every day for a month and a half near the water for a tortoise egg. Summer ends in a couple weeks. Am I missing something? Starting to think they are a myth.

They can be quite rare when you first unlock Kozita island, there are only five spots on the island where you can find them, it's just random if they show up or not.

There is a bug where the tortoise eggs sometimes spawn in autumn and winter too.

I must just have bad luck. And how do you know how many spots there are????

Okay, you were right. First day of Fall I decided to stay and look. Right away I found two piles of sand that looked a little different and didn't give the option to pick them up. The third one I found had an egg in it.

I'm glad you found a tortoise egg. Yes it's the sand pile nest type things. There is a map on the wiki that tells you where they all are, but they are fairly easy to find when you know what to look for.
