System Efficiency
I understand how to detect signals and everything else involving the server just fine. But I am confused on improving my system efficiency at night. Is there any way to pass time so day caomes faster? I enjoy this game but can not tell if I am doing something wrong.

clean your solar panels so the batteries recharge quicker (improves system efficiency). turn your generator on during the day while charging your batteries, they'll charge even faster.

So you're supposed to just wait during the nights for day to come?

I just started playing (15 signals in), I've been working on signals all the time and my system efficiency is down to 60%. I was holding off on using generator, but now that I've turned it on, it seems pretty useless - covers barely 1/5 of my requirements.

I figured generator would be there to recharge to 100%, but fuel costs credits so it's just inefficient. At this point, it looks like I should leave the game running over couple (in-game) days just to get my efficiency up.

Kinda not cool.

You can save a lot of power by only turning the antennae on once you've got the azimuth and elevation correct. The number you actually need to turn on will depend on how close you are and also the individual calibrations. Using fewer won't affect your download speed.

Not to mention sleeping doesn't seem to recharge power. Kind of stupid.

Search for signals at night. When morning comes, put the dishes in service mode, start boinc, start calibration, turn off all your other equipment, go outside and do maintenance while your system recharges. By the time night rolls around you should have gained 100% charge. If not, just don't run boinc during the day.
