The Atlas ships are beautiful. There was only one Santisma Trinidad and it could barely sail and would have surely sunk in a storm and stayed near ports.

Many Spanish ships were landing ships and not actually meant to sail far which isnt talked about which is why there are Spanish wrecks all around england after they landed. They call John Fawkins and Sir Francis Drake pirates and slave traders(the English Queen married the Spanish king to try buy time, then after she died her sister maried him and Sir Francis Drake and John Hawkins were fighting without official backing) to this day for sinking so many invading Spanish ships. Spain was occupying Holland and all over the world at the time.
Mhmm, sure whatever sweetie, I'm sure there are some paint chips that need licking somewhere in your house so you might want to go back to doing that.
They really aren't though, they offer very little in terms of design asthetics. Only reason I brought up the Santisma Trinidad is because it would be interesting to see someone try to build a 130-gun vessel and know it was out there somewhere. I have no idea why you bring the rest of your post up since it doesn't really coincide with anything I typed. However I would say or rather think that many of those ships belonged to the failed Spanish invasion during the reign of Elizabeth I.
Galleons were not exclusive to Spain, they were just the only ones stupid enough to keep using them long after they lost relevance.

Having a clear deck may seem like the best option but the deck is important and nothing on it means it takes fire alot more. Lose the deck and your screwed.
More excellent customization options coming next month to. Hints that SOD will be playable also, then there is the paddle wheel model that may be playable eventually and who knows what else.
As for the naming of the ships I don't mind it's not based on real world ships but just a fantasy game.. so maybe in this fantasy world a galleon is exactly what we get.
pirates along with...uhhh..undead, cyclops, dragons, yetis, krakens, giant crabs etc etc etc.
