As with the other ASCII Game Series games released by this developer, we're facing just a simple interface and extremely minimalistic and pointless games with little things to do into.
They're all, this one included, made in Unity and this can be played easily windowed or fullscreen, it doesn't change a thing. It's all a messy and blurry black, white and grey thing so you can choose whichever kind of graphics quality you want.. nothing will change.
This game is here only for the achievements, and the negative thing of course is that they will keep on popping up on the lower right side of your screen, so that that particular area will always be covered (and that's awesome in a labyrinth game).
The only in-game settings you're allowed to change are related again to windowed or fullscreen mode, and to the horrendous soundtrack made up by a generic ambient track.
The game does not run in tray, which means that if you want the achievements you're forced to keep the window active on your PC - and there's almost 5000 of them.
The game's about an infinite series of small mazes, in which you'll be a small light and you're asked (no tutorial or help at all) to collect all the other balls (or whatever they are, they look like white balls) - on obtaining the last one, you'll automatically go to the next level - which is practically the same as the one you've just a second before finished.
There's a timer on the upper part of the screen for each level, but the seconds are often too many and you'll be able to clear all the mazes in time since there are no obstacles, no enemies and most of all no penalties at all, so that you can bump everywhere without taking damage.
The WASD (and directional keys, not remappable) controls are responsive, but the graphics are truly unplayable. The whole scenario will be made by ASCII characters, but it'll be always extremely dark so that you'll hardly distinguish between walls and open spots.
Apart from small increases in the labyrinths sizes, in the number of balls to collect (there won't be any counter, so you'll have to find out by yourself how many you've still to obtain) and in the timer, all the levels look exactly the same and there's really no purpose in completing them.
I positively reviewed many puzzle/maze games, but they were all different and often they were interesting, well-made even graphically, increasing in difficulty and with enemies, penalties, triggers..
Here you'll get just a plain maze, and things to collect. For some reasons, every ball you'll collect will net you even more achievements so that the whole game will be over in half an hour.
But is it really worth it? I know these games are often bundled and so on, but really I would not suggest to anyone to buy shovelwares and crap like this one.
No replayability at all, the same maze and the same stupid music over and over into a dark labyrinth made up by ASCII characters that will just ruin your eyesight and nothing else.
As the developers themselves stated, the only objective of this crap - if taken as a game and not a simple achievement hunting app - is to collect items and go on indefinitely with the mazes - if you die by letting the timer go down to 0, you'll start on the exact same level you died on - so no way to go back to the first ones.. you'll be stuck for instance at the 9th level forever, and when you'll beat it you'll be forced to replay endlessly the 10th and so on.
Definitely to avoid if you don't want just to idle for an hour and get 5000 achievements. If you want a casual minimalistic puzzle, here you won't find anything pleasant.

Well, i had at least 18min of fun. I don't think that i will play more than that.
Its a easy mindless game. What i really liked about it was that you are not aware of the ASCII "graphics" while playing. The particals looked really great.

What i dont like is the 4733 achievements. Who needs that? its just stupid!

You get what you paid for, 5K achievements at minimum price. If you’re an achievement hunter looking to increase the number of achievements on your profile showcase, then I highly recommend buying this. Else don’t waste your money. This is not a game, it’s just a way of distributing achievements.

Never thought I'd see a day when one achievement spam game starts copying another.

This is exactly like the aMaze games, only in ASCII instead of whatever PS1-era graphics they use. You are allotted an amount in seconds to navigate each maze and find all of the glowing whatevers. Times are fairly lenient, but it can still take upwards of 2 minutes to complete level 10+. You can use the one wall method to complete the levels, and level resets are random. It also saves your progress even if you close it, so that's nice. I stopped playing on 10, when I got all of the achievements.

The game itself isn't bad, though it's weird to program inertia into a game with sharp corners and a time limit (most likely pre-programmed into the character model base in Unity). But again, it gets very boring, and there's no payout aside from the ~5000 achievements in 10 minutes. Would only recommend it in a bundle of keys where it costs less than 10 cents. For 99 cents, you can get a fast food burger or burrito that you'll savor longer.
