One example is running around the desert searching for pragmium spires, but it is mostly suitable for those who live in the desert or close to the desert. It depends on your luck a lot. Plus if there are other players searching for it you might not be able to find it right away.
Then there are two volcano areas (western and north east) where you can just come and farm pragmium directly (without searching for spires), but it does require good equipment and preparation. But at least it gives guaranteed return.
And finally, you can simply buy pragmium from other players. It is the easiest and safest choice if you are just starting out.
As for "dirt columns" - no, those are just decorations. Pragmium spawn is completely random. And no, it doesn't depend on the player claims or other structures. It will always spawn the correct amount.
If 3 players in 3 hours cant find any with each one of us covering a different part of a desert and cant find it, then it may be time to think about boosting the spawn rate.
People work and dont have 10 hours a day to search for stuff needing to progress. If this is the progress wall that you devs want, congrats. All it will do is chase off players wanting to progress but due to time limitations cant.
Some players can grind hours and hours a day to progress and regular players who can only spend a couple hours a day wont. Nice job. I refuse to spend all my free time just looking for prag to progress. And yes we have a base in desert almost all the way to tthe east of map.
I really like the concept but a lot of stuff is very grindy and that pushes people away. Not saying to make it easy just less grindy not everyone has a crap ton of free time to grind in a game.
Just share your thoughts! Even if something might not change right away it's still important to hear what people think when the next round of changes comes.
Anyway, as I said we have just released a small patch. Here are the changes in relation to pragmium:
- Adjusted respawn of pragmium spires in the desert to ensure they will respawn in at least x2 larger amount—the game server will also respawn even more per spawn iteration if there are many players on the server (automatic scaling applies).
- Server scaling of resource respawn rate changed to start earlier (previously it applied only in 100-200 players range, now in 50-200 players).
Basically it means that pragmium will respawn slightly faster and it will take number of players on the server into account sooner, thus offering better scaling of spawning depending on number of players.
I hope it works for you guys :)
Enjoy the game!
I did do 30 mins today in desert and found 2 spires. Got 1 and had to pass on other. It spawned beside a lava vent so I cant deal with that heat yet, but something new to work for.
Thanks, works much better now, most folks are pleased too.
hello! As you have probably noticed, players practically stopped telling us that pragmium is too rare for over a year in this topic.
There were many changes to make it much more available. You can obtain pragmium in the desert (now it spawns more actively there and you can use pragmium sensor device to help locate it!), volcano, collect plenty of it after defeating Pragmium Queen boss (very useful in end-game), and obtain some bonus amounts in the fishing and psi grove events.
Also, in the upcoming A30 Update, we've changed that optical components no longer require pragmium, and rebalanced other recipes as well as sources of pragmium. This way establishing solar power generation will be much easier.
Regards!
