About Singleplayer
I checked the roadmap thing and there is a vote for a singleplayer mode and a link for a thread here in steam for discussion of it... but its locked.

So im creating this to show my concern on this game not having a singleplayer mode.

Every single game out there wont last forever, I bought many early access games in which some of them didnt last long enough, and those games didnt have a singleplayer mode, they were all dependent on servers and people hosting them. (One example I remember is GRAV)

So there is the problem, if after some time people stop hosting servers in this game and the oficial servers are closed... its pratically dead.

Hello!

First of all, we are providing the server distributive and everyone could deploy their own server (even at home PC). Here is the server setup guide http://wiki.atomictorch.com/CryoFall/Server/Setup it might be complicated for hosting a multiplayer server, but to host a solo server on the home PC it requires basically only three steps—installing .NET Core 3.1, downloading and extracting CryoFall server runtime, and launching it with a command-line command.

Some players setting up a private/local server just to play the game solo. However, currently, single-player gameplay on a private/local server is a lackluster experience as it doesn't offer any challenge beyond the world exploration, construction, farming, and skills+technology progression. While the PvE gameplay is fine for an online experience where you can chill with your friends and strangers, set up a party and split tasks to acquire resources and technologies, ask questions in the chat, and specialize your research path to focus on what's most interesting (and trade for items and resources you don't find so interesting but need for progress), in single-player you will miss all these features and struggle on your own. If anyone following this path now I suggest configuring it (by following the server setup guide) as a PvE server with x2 server rates for resource gathering and skills XP/LP. Though I need to mention that with the upcoming A25 update (planned for release in a week) it would be much better in this regard as we've significantly rebalanced the game.

The single-player mode would be great to have. However, we also know that providing a lackluster singleplayer version is not a great idea as players will criticize it. So we're still considering introducing it in the future when the game will get more PvE content and improvements—so it would be actually worth to play in a single-player mode. Improvements such as a good challenging AI and more mechanics to keep player entertained are planned and will get us closer to providing a fine singleplayer experience.

Regards!

Thanks for the info. I will wait for these PVE updates before I give it a proper go.

Same
I previously posted also asking for SP mode or at least if it was possible to play solo and it's because of private server hosting. Now that I own the game (got it as part of Humble Choice), I really hope that proper SP mode will be added later on.
+1, would love a proper single player experience

I'd dare say the vast majority of potential players do not see these as "features"
+1 for single player
i am tired from gaming online/pvp and blablabla
Well, at least being EA, the dev's will hopefully start working on SP. I will play the game when they add it. Not before. 26 minutes when it released. Nothing since.
+1 for single player.
+1 for SP

Don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about Multi...I Hate multiplayer games xD
Don't authorize Humble to put you game in a bundle if you are multi only.
I'm okay with the Multi or not like Red Dead Redemption or Borderlands 3 but I want to be able to play solo OFFLINE!!!

@aoigami Humble Choice/Monthly usually contains at least a single multiplayer game in its monthly selection of the curated games. Anyway, you have a choice among other games!

Alas...I already own a lot of games and this month the choice was Indies only.
I love Indies...I buy myself a lot of Indies on itch.io...but Multi nope!
A long time ago,you never got Multi only games from Humble Monthly.
So Good Luck, your game is certainly awesome ^^
I don't know If you can tell Humble to not put your game in the monthly thing?
But for now...for each multi only from Humble I write a RED!

Then you should complain to the guys who curate the Humble Choice Bundle that you don't want any multiplayer (only) titles and not give a game a negative review because of that imo.
