The Mirror Lied

The Mirror Lied

Game wont start...
When clicking on it it shows a black screen for a second before closing again.

Ive tried verifying game files but no errors were found.
I have played to the moon, a bird story and finding paradise and all started without a problem.

Anybody got a solution?

Sorry for the hassle! Hm, please try going to the game folder (right click The Mirror Lied from library -> Property -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files), and right click The Mirror Lied.exe -> Launch as admin.

If that doesn't work, Game.exe in the folder runs the game with a different (legacy) engine. Hope that helps!

Thanks game.exe works.
Do you know the reason why it only works with the legacy engine by any chance? Something I gotta update?

Hard to say; there's likely some kind of anomaly somewhere, whether it be the the registry or another incompatible dependency somewhere. We're transitioning to the new engine, and are still experimenting -- it definitely has better technically capabilities, but there are a few kinks to iron out. c: Glad Game.exe works in the mean time.
Thanks. Game.exe worked for me too.

+1 for the Game.exe suggestion

The game.exe suggestion works, but it doesn't count as playtime which is a bit sad as I would love to write a review about it.
