Amirite?

'Cos it's entirely impossible that someone (Oh look, how about me?) would have their computer set up on a TV or monitor running at 1080p. Amirite?

All three of my Asus 27" monitors and my Panasonic 50" Plasma 3D TV are 1080p and I have no problems at all playing the game's from my Recliner with my wireless keyboard mouse and Xbox 360 wireless controllers so what is the real problem then? The answer nothing the game plays great.

Only season 1 is like that, Seasons 2 & 3 can do 1920x1080 on my screen
I'm fine playing with black boxes. Black boxes are just what you get for plaing an old game on a new screen. They're barely noteworthy when playing in a dark room, especially. Right now though, many outputs don't seem to be able to recognize that they should have black boxes and instead stretch the picture to fill. Yes, I've fiddled with all the options, both for my computer and screen (wtf @ AMD for disbling the "maintain aspect ratio" feature). I'd really appreciate if they'd update this game just to have the black borders on the game's end so I can play it on my big screen instead of having to use my laptop, which seems to handle the classic 4:3 resolutions appropriately.

I never said that it wasnt a good game it IS a great game, I neve said that graphics are more important because they aren't more important,I just asked why there is no 1080p. Because when I play games I don't like the screen to be squashed and out of proportion or to have black bars. It isn't even a massive deal but I was wondering if there was a way to fix it and guess what there is.

Don't act like a hypocrite I am guessing that you play all of your games in 640 x 480 resolution in 256 colour mode on a CRT monitor huh? exactly.

So the Tell Tale Games Custom Resolution Tool works?

I have tested this, and I can verify that it does work. I had to monkey around with things for about 45 minutes, only to find that this does indeed work without having to monkey around with things. Just be sure to place the TTres.exe file in each episode's game folder, and run TTres. You then select the resolution in which you are currently running (I'm running on a 36" RCA TV, via HDMI, so it was 1920x1080) and hit "Patch".

Voila, game works.

I don't even want to start on what I went thrgouh, frustratingly trying to get the game to work in any other way. Just be sure that you don't have anything in set up compatibility-wise on the game's executable. ;)

Cheers!

NOTE: I have tested this on the only episodes that needed it, which are season 1 and season 2. You do not need to use the TTres.exe for season three, as it has an option for the higher resolutions.

I haven't played through all of each of the first two seasons yet, but I was warned that the video can be buggy at times (the note on the Tell Tale games resolution fix link above says that), so I want this to reiteratie that as my own personal disclaimer.

However, so far games run and I can get back to cracking the dastardly cases once again. I hope that means the same for you!
There's a slight hiccup on my part, but it's really not that much of a big deal.

In the game, if I hit "Esc" or go to the gear in the upper left corner, I can't seem to get out of it. Somehow, the entire options menu causes the game to no longer respond to mouse clicks or trying to Esc out of it.

As I said, it's not too much of a bother seeing as the game autosaves quite a bit, and if anything were to happen (which it doesn't, the game is pretty linear), then I can go back to the previous autosave by ALT-TABing out.

Leammie know if anyone else has this issue.
