[SOLVED] - "Just Cause 2 has stopped working"
SOLVED IT - Turns out it was the program 'ATI Tray Tools' (which I use to display framerate stats on my tower's LCD screen) that was causing the crash. I guessed it would be the culprit, as I had a similar problem with BF3. Oh ATI Tray Tools, why do you hurt applications so?

Windows 7 64-bit, Radeon HD 5770

Was given Just Cause 2 as a gift through steam, but I can't get it to start. I just get a "Just Cause 2 has stopped working" error. I have re-verified the files twice, they are fine. I even deleted all the local files and reinstalled it, still no luck. A look into Windows Event Viewer gives more details:

Faulting application name: JustCause2.exe, version:, time stamp: 0x4c1b5791
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.17725, time stamp: 0x4ec49b8f
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x0003a6c7
Faulting process id: 0x12a0
Faulting application start time: 0x01cdb792ddf47c5a
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Just Cause 2\JustCause2.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll

Not sure what ntdll.dll is, but apparently it is part of the problem. Unfortunately I tried replacing it (with a lot of work getting the permissions to do so) with a friend's copy, just to make sure my system dll wasn't corrupted, and that didn't fix the problem, so it has nothing to do with my dll, just how the game is accessing it.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
