Yeah that's a bit silly. We are omnivores, so choosing just one thing to consume is fairly dumb unless you have some sort of disorder or something to that effect from a doctor.
Whatever tho, if people want to choose to make them selves sick that's on them. More food for me :D
What about Mingus Dew? I can't live without my BeBop cola!
It's pretty smart actually. You'd be in perfect health if you ate nothing but raw meat which has all required nutrients. Plants have virtually no nutrients aside from vitamin C. They have carbs which are toxic in anything but small amounts.
The game is a good analogy actually... instead of running around combining foods (which you have to do with plants as none of them have bioavailable nutrients in and of themselves) you can just eat one thing - meat - which is your natural diet as a human...
Ever heard of Aitkens diet?

Crackpot alert...
Surviving isn't the same thing as being healthy. Atkins is a fad diet which correlates with increased risk of heart disease and malnutrition. Balanced diets are categorically better than fad diets like Atkins, but unfortunately there are a lot of people who lack the self-control to maintain a balanced diet, and those people tend to plunge readily down the rabbit hole of whatever the latest fad happens to be. Some fad diets (e.g. raw foodism) even have borderline cult-like profiles due to their absolute rejection of scientific consensus, and I sure am getting that vibe from the OP.
Dont drink alochol either nor smoke
I'm also good looking :P
If thats the definition of a crackpot thats pretty sad.
Personally, I enjoy eating the worst things in life because more often then not.. things that are bad for you are the best tasting. I choose to live happily but in moderation, as opposed to adapting something that may or may not increase my lifespan, at the cost of being unhappy.
But all of that aside as far as how nutrition works in this game, I think it's fine the way it is. Being too realistic detracts from the fun, it still has to feel like a game on some level.
You're falling for the appeal to nature fallacy, and you're getting even that wrong, because at no point in our evolutionary history did we subsist exclusively on raw meat.
I will never understand what drives folks to do this.
It's a game people... just play and enjoy.
In real life just eat what makes you happy. No one is right or wrong, what's considered healthy today will kill you tomorrow and vice versa.
Peace!
I can't argue with that... I wouldn't anyways, that would make me a bit of a hypocrite.
But as you enjoy the freedom to argue like 10 year old children over things of no importance, I enjoy the freedom to laugh and point.
Peace!
