unable to save game

tried crafting a few different beds and the bed in the world will not let me save the game. the beds at drug lab dont work as well

Are you holding the button down till the circle completes around the word save? Also only have save in your view, not sleep. I would say the bug is the reverse because I often sleep after saving when I don't want to.

isnt there a button that shows up to say save game. i dont have that only a sleep option

If you make the tent-type shelter (takes long stick, a rope or 2, and 13 palm leaves) then it will give you the option to save your game if you point at open edge of it.

Nope, I started with that. Only certain beds and other structures allow saves.

Erm...
As far as I know there is no bed which allows you to save your game. It's more the shelters. There is one kind of shelter which works as a bed as well, I just can't remember the name...
But for sure you need to craft a simple shelter for saving rather than a bed.
There is one really simple and cheap one which should work for saving.
As far as I know, there is also a tooltip in your notebook which indicates if a structure is suitable for saving your game.

Well the tent is a bed also. That is the one.

Some shelters have 2 points. One is for sleeping, the other for saving the game. If your using a shelter with these 2 points, the save point will be at the front of the building.

When you save look down on the right a small circle appears showing save progress. It appears next to the condition of your tool in your hand.

Try a save using the roof of your shelter and watch.
I brought this to discussions since I found out that when the game is exited before this completes can damage that save.

( Beds do not allow to save. )
You can save using the roof on the modular shelters or save using one corner of the cross sticks on front of the Hut shelter. Refer to your survival pad look in house tab some buildings will show>> Allows to Save.<<
