There was no XML for me either. Only .sl2

I've started a reinstall- but to be clear this is an incredibly stupid oversight. At minimum, the game should have options that let you select a resolution before launch using steam preferences, or even Nvidia settings.
At this point, I cant agree with you more.
by the way, I wonder has the reintsall worked?

Steam launch options usually only work with valve games.

well, thanks for telling me. I wont have a try unless a patch or something is released

Interesting....that could be why it's flickering because it doesn't have the .xml to reference for video settings.
Here's what's in my file. Try manually creating the file and pasting this text in here and changing what you need that fits your system, maybe?
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16" ?> <config><ScreenMode>FULLSCREEN</ScreenMode> <Resolution-WindowScreenWidth>1920</Resolution-WindowScreenWidth> <Resolution-WindowScreenHeight>1080</Resolution-WindowScreenHeight> <Resolution-FullScreenWidth>1920</Resolution-FullScreenWidth> <Resolution-FullScreenHeight>1080</Resolution-FullScreenHeight> <Auto-detectBestRenderingSettings>ON</Auto-detectBestRenderingSettings> <QualitySetting>CUSTOM</QualitySetting> <TextureQuality>MAX</TextureQuality> <Antialiasing>ON</Antialiasing> <SSAO>MAX</SSAO> <DepthOfField>MAX</DepthOfField> <MotionBlur>DISABLE</MotionBlur> <ShadowQuality>MAX</ShadowQuality> <LightingQuality>MAX</LightingQuality> <EffectsQuality>MAX</EffectsQuality> <ReflectionQuality>MAX</ReflectionQuality> <WaterSurfaceQuality>HIGH</WaterSurfaceQuality> <ShadeQuality>HIGH</ShadeQuality> <LodQuality>HIGH</LodQuality> <VolumetricEffectQuality>MAX</VolumetricEffectQuality> </config>

"How to make steam users never buy your game again."

I never have issues with any games EXCEPT Fromsoftware games. Every time my friends have gotten me to buy/install a Dark Souls game, I've ragequit at the installation phase. It's always a controller problem, or a network problem, or a graphics problem, or some utter garbage that prevents you from just opening the game and playing it. You'd think that'd be the most important part of a game- being able to play it. And then I have to go play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing which is its own separate pleasurable hellhole. They're lucky I can't resist the delicious lore.

adding the settings and setting the screen resolution worked!
Kraken Mar 21, 2019 @ 10:09pm
And to be clear, the .xml file is outside of the folder with all the numbers
Example - "C:\Users\*your user*\AppData\Roaming\Sekiro\GraphicsConfig.xml"
