"Weaken Obsidian islands"[Possible Spoilers]

One of the Kosmos cultists has the clue condition "Weaken the Obsidian Islands to draw Sokos into a naval battle" or something like that. Weall i've completely weakened their nation power and nothing's happened, nor have I been allowed to ID this cultists yet. What am i missing?

Nevermind. Figured it out. Didn't realize there even were naval battles to make nations switch allegiance. Up til now all my war battles wrere ground based

Yup, all the small island conquer battles are sea based.
Also beware to NOT hit any of your allies during them, with either arrows/javelin or ramming.
They will turn hostile and attack you, which makes these battles a lot trickier then the land ones.

Whenever your cursor is over an island in the map, the lower right shows you what "island group" it's part of. Two islands to the south of the major large continent are in the obsidian island group

Weaken means kill the ruler to unlock the battle, enter the fight and pick any side, the cultust will be the hero of the opposite side
Mybe not just kill, burn some supplies and stuff

I can't even see the battle location, I check the map but there is no one to talk to about joining the battle on one side or another. I need this battle for the cultist cause i need the armor hes got.

The orange and blue flag icons like for army land battles is what you need. if they ain't highligted you must not have weakened the islands enough. Keep in mind those icons are only on the larger/southern most of the two islands that make up the Obsidian Islands> once you choose your side you're immediately teleported into a naval battle.

I’m having the same problem but when I weakened the islands there was no flag or anything for me to do the naval battle. Now Sparta has control over it and I can’t weaken it now.

Is this a bug or am I just ignorant?

There are 2 islands and you have to weaken them enuff to trigger the battle..

Hydrea and Melos are both part of the Obsidian Islands. Melos is where you can find the battle flag.

I did the nation battle for the Spartans and I have yet to encounter this cultist or it's ship or an ID. The cultist is virtually non-existent.

Ok so NVM... the cultist wasn't in the battle. As soon as I finished the battle, I was able to unmask, her, and then mark and track her to her location. She isn't part of the nation battle (for me).
