Assassin’s Creed Odyssey PC Specs and System Requirements Revealed
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is fast approaching its October 5 release date, and the developers have revealed the official list of minimum PC requirements and recommended system specifications. Soon, you’ll take up arms as a mercenary and help shape the fate of Ancient Greece during the Peloponnesian War. Those of you planning on Spartan-kicking your enemies into the Aegean Sea on PC can continue reading for a special message from the development team and a breakdown of specifications.

We are very pleased to share with you today some more information on the PC specs for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. As was already the case for Assassin’s Creed Origins, the PC version is not a port of the console versions of the game, but a tailored experience developed by a dedicated team at Ubisoft Kiev in close collaboration with Ubisoft Québec, the lead studio on Odyssey. Having a dedicated team on the PC version allows us to offer the level of customization that PC players expect, which will enable them to adapt the experience to their PC configuration. The PC version of Assassin's Creed Odyssey will also include unique features not found in the console versions, such as benchmark tools to test the different graphics settings, and a toggle option for dynamic resolution rendering to uncap the framerate.

The recommended specs are for 30fps only? Does this game really run that much worse than Origins?

I don't think so
there was another game with the same Requirements and you could run it for more than 30fps

what about steam achievements ubisoft?
renboy Sep 7, 2018 @ 10:38am
Origins has the same requirements (though the steam page doesn't specify FPS).
I'm guessing it's pretty much the same, but like in Origins, they can't promise 60 FPS 100% of the time (there were some dips to the range of 40-50 FPS in the most crowded cities, but nearly all the time it was 60 FPS for my GTX 1070 / i7 CPU).

Don't you lie Ubisoft. Origins was a straight console port and pretty broken at that.
I can run Far Cry 5 on almost ultra/1080p with stable 60 while AC Origins in unplayable even on low/720p

Any news regarding Steam achievements yet?

Windows 7! Yeah. Thanks UBI. Don't have to touch Win10 @ second SSD. (hope Fallout 76 will be the same)
joxertm22 Sep 8, 2018 @ 5:34am
30 FPS on 3.5+ Ghz CPU with 4+ cores and GTX 970?
ROTFL

Ubisoft strikes with unoptimized code once again.
I'll buy the game as I loved AC Origins, but definetly not preorder. It'll happen eventually when I get future hardware able to make this abominable code to run 60+ FPS.
By that time, the price will be 5 bucks I guess. Money loss for Ubisoft.

Go pro or go home Ubi.
