New Game Plus and the Arena

I doubt this could be considered a spoiler unless one isn't aware Assassin's Creed games now like to have side content in the form of 'professional fighting' quests/activities.

Anyways, I decided to try the new game plus. I like that all my progress is carried over with the level differences in the world now moot as everything is the same as when one out-levels the final 'zones'. This means I can pick and choose/skip content as I see fit and generally enjoy the game differently than before. No need to explore every nook and cranny - been there, done that.

The thing I wanted to bring up is the opponent levels in the Arena quest line. For those not familiar or don't remember - the game will add levels to the opponents so you'll have to gain several levels between bouts. I get this on a normal game and could appreciate it as something to look forward to, instead of blast through it.

Now on New Game Plus - I waited awhile before 'signing up' and at level 83/84 decided to start the quest. Silly me thought it would be the same as the rest of the game but I was wrong. Had I started the quest line as soon as I left Kephalonia(sp?) I would have been in the late 70's, which would have dropped the levels of all the opponents some as compared to now. Levels come MUCH slower now, and I'm wondering if I'll hit the upper 90's even after playing BOTH DLC. The final opponent is ranked lvl99. Fighting 'death head' level opponents in round 3 was a waste of time.

tldr: The Arena levels remain the same as a normal game. Since players level slower the higher they get - in a new game plus - go to the Arena asap and get signed up for the quest.

Thanks for the tip, I'd probs be at the Arena around the same level on NG+ too (currently at Korinthia at lvl 70/71).. Not too worried myself though, I drop difficulty to easy just to slash HP bars. Nightmare is nice, but I realllllllly cba with needlessly spongey enemies in a game this big/long. It's not even just the Arena really. Like when you fight 4/5 bounty hunters, you could be playing perfectly and not getting hit at all, but it'll still take a while. Just gets repetitive and boring.
