Installing Thrustmaster T300RS GT Edition - Need Help With Mistake I Made
Good Day

I was installing the wheel and ended up plugging the wheel into the computer before the software was installed and now the wheel basically doesn't even turn on and won't get picked up by the computer. Apparently messing around with some files/firmware could help resolve the issue but im not sure

Any help is appreciated
thanks

I'm no expert, but make sure your wheel has power, then when you plug it in, it rotates, and then you can open the control panel window of the thrustmaster firmware, where you can detect input, and update firmware if necessary.

Otherwise you can always try to reinstall or restart computer and/or replug the wheel, maybe try a different usb socket.

Sometimes the weirdest combination of actions solves the issue.

If everything fails, I'll just delete all software, check manual and read through it to make sure I follow the steps in exact order.

If it still fails, it could very well be a case of faulty hardware.

As above...delete all software and re-install after re-boot. Let us know how you get on.

Is it set to PS4 instead of PS3? It won't work when set to PS4.

Plugging it in before running the software does not cause problems.

Whaat ? you HAVE to run in PS 3 mode on PC !!!

from Thrustmaster website :

"On PC, the USB sliding switch on the T300 RS & T150 racing wheel’s base must always be set to the PS3 position!"

The power cable must be pressed quite hard into the wheelbase, have you checked that it is all the way in?
