I got a new computer and had to reistall tomb raider anniversary. Do I have to start the game from the very begining or is there a way to rtreive my game progress?

If you have access to your old hard drive, the saved games would be under your Documents -> Eidos -> Tomb Raider - Anniversary folder. I imagine you could just copy those over.
