rescue mission troubles
so.... yeah. i logged 25h in it. the progression is slow and grindy, bosses are borderline unfair but hey. nothing i ever encountered, it's all good.

then suddently T2 creepers that can takedown your main team on a reaction streak, t2 infected that can nearly infinite delay one char, strip it to 0 armour, heal and buff themselves ...
annoyed, but still good. i have a child to save and a pleague to stop dammit.
then suddently ...

rescue mission, day 9.

what.
the.
actual.
♥♥♥♥.

the lost soul can be killed from nearly anything, my A team fully fitted, 8 traits, level 10 cannot get past it. 2 tanks, 1 gun, 2 t2 infected, 3 t2reapers @time 110 a monster spawn to end it all, even without attacking you cannot reach the end before the next wave, you cannot wipe them all fast enough and they can supress a character in 2 turns. 6hours of reset i see no possible way to win it.

the question is : do you ignore those missions ? do you faceroll them by using dummy sisters and let them die ? have you disinstalled the game ? must i git gud ?

If you have strong enough daughters then this mission is easy, you just going straight to end and killing everything on your way. I guess to be so you need 120+ AP on each daughter and enough damage to kill each monster in 1-2 hits. Otherwise yes, it's most hard mission and it is intended to be so, it's most rare mission with ressurection token reward as well. While you don't feel comfortable beating it just skip it, not a big loss I think.

Don't like 'git gud' as a message but, alright, the mission is really testing you on how well you understand monsters' targeting priorities. And is a bit unfair, in my view, with the codex being walled off (currently - hopefully it will change as devs are responsive to constructive feedback) while you're in a mission.

It's a pretty rare high risk/high reward mission so can be very brutal.
Hmmm. Monsters ignored the Bright Soul on my first rescue. "Git gud" is not really the issue here. Impossible missions have a big difference in the spawn rate. You get easy ones and missions where they spawn like it is their last day at work.

huh, ok. please tell me the game balance itselft after 2-3 reminiscence of the same tier, because i start to get bored hard. i like challenge, but something that renders dishwashing exciting and rewarding, it's a bit too much

Hop on the discord and tell the devs to tone it down.

hmm. from what i understand this is a rare mission made to give you a token. i'll just cheese it with 3 fresh tanks next time. roleplay wise it's absolute crap though :x

plus the mission is mandatory. i should simply skip them if not needed :)

Easiest way to beat it is to make 2-3 soulslingers level 10+ with Detonating Shot and sacrificed blademaster (as high level as possible) to each of them. They will oneshot with this ability almost everyting, on big distance, sometimes even killing 2-3 mobs per skill. ;)

oO i absolutely do not have this kind of firepower when you use a reminiscence you start from the beginning ?

Yes, you start from day 1, current daughters going to cemetery and can be revived using ressurection tokens that you get by activating remembrances (each of them is unlocked once you meet new boss), remembrances being reset (however you get shards back and can activate them again) and you can enable them back. About firepower, Detonating Shot deal highest damage in game (sacrificed blademaster can add up to 450 additional damage so your souslingers base damage will be around 1000-1700, depends on level, traits and base damage stat roll), it will be done twice, first time as single hit, second time as aoe around target (including it). I deal around 5k frontal damage as non crit hits using it.

How are you getting t2s on day9, they are era3 monsters?
As for actual composition, are your 2 tanks shieldbearers or what?
What skill/memory is your soulslinger using?
For a 3man team, use a scythedancer, blademaster and soulslinger, for a 4 man, add another soulslinger or another BM.
Make your BM mobile and active, sac a scythedancer on it to make its turn delay low, get lightning strike and sidestep, a 120-140 AP blademaster with ~35 turn delay can kill couple of mobs before their first turn, use slinger spirit haste with 20init memory on it to make it act event more. So kill infected before they act, even if you have to burst, then just reset your BM with a slinger.

Use scythedancer to aoe kill big slow stuff - reapers. Realize that monsters cant attack on their first turn (some exceptions to this, but not in era3), so position daughters accordingly

Those missions are easy. Once you get the right setup for them. Basically 2 gunners 2 swordmasters. One does damage. The other resets initiative. Now monsters there are not spawning eternally. You can kill them all and leave whenever you want. Note that there is a certain range that triggers an extra enemy spawn once you get closer to the exit, so dont trigger it beforehand. Ofcourse Daughters with 10+ trats can do this mission flawlessly.

that's right.

but if you have weaker daughters and they are surrounded by enemies and have shieldbearer in your team with +400 armor memory, just use it as well. those missions are not generally for killing everything that moves, but to sprint fast to safety zone and escape. soulslingers with intercepting shot are great choice to prevent enemies attack against your team. shieldbearer also has similiar ability but with replacement, so be carefull using it.

don't give up man! :steamhappy:
