why free to play?
I mean 'free', seeing as it has a ton of dlc lined up already, so probably the first episode is gonna be free, the rest paid. why is it not a pay once kinda thing like slayaway camp? sure, that has some dlc too, but mostly cosmetic.

Actually the first 8 episodes are free to play, there are 4 DLC episodes and a handful of just Jason DLC.

that sounds better but I still don't understand why you went with free(ish) to play instead of a regular product like your other game, which is basically this game without licensed stuff. nothing wrong with that, I'm a fan of more of the same, it's just weird.

and how about pricing for the dlc?

We do have the "Mrs. Voorhees Motherly Love Bundle" you can purchase which gives you 50% off all DLC so basically it's a "Premium" bundle to get everything (complete the set!) at half off. Its taking Steam a bit to update but that should be showing any minute now.

Free means more players, more fun.

Actually, all episodes aside from episode 1 are showing up with prices in the store.

We let people buy the first 8 episodes early if they want, but you can unlock those for free just by playing if you want.

it's a really weird business model, and since I don't want paid-for cosmetic crap, I'll just wait until episodes 9-12 go on sale separately.

maybe you should communicate properly on the store page and the dlc pages that you can unlock chapters 2-8 in-game for free before people start buying them and complain. f2p attracts a different crowd of people.

I picked up the "Mrs. Voorhees Motherly Love Bundle" (as a side note, you really should add this bundle to the main game page, since as it is, it's pretty much hidden), and I was wondering two things:
-is there any advantage or extra content included if one buys the early unlock DLCs for episodes 2-8, over just unlocking them? (as another side note, you should consider changing the name of those 7 DLCs, because as it is, it appears they are episode DLCs like the others; I bought the whole pack and was wondering why I was missing those episodes)
-the game has in-app purchases listed; is there any content that isn't included in bundle I bought, and has to be bought in-game?
thanks

You don't get any advantage or items if you buy episodes 2-8 and you do not obtain any kind of in-game items (apart from the Jasons included in the bundle) like weapons

@FunktionJCB Howl has it correct, there is no advantage in game for purchasing episode 2 to 8 aside from unlocking them early (and without using the body count)

The only additional content not in the motherly love bundle are weapon packs, but you can unlock the weapons through regular play as well. Those are another feature to get content faster if you so choose.

Thanks for the confirmation. :)

Not in Russia and I assume a couple other regions.

The bundle isn't available for you?

Hey, we appreciate the confusion that having those episode 2-8 unlocks in the store is causing... we are working to just make those free right now.
