What is the bottom right gauge?
The purple and sometimes red gauge at the bottom right. What is it for and what does it do? I assume it has something to do with the crystals you can sometimes your crystals in. But i wasnt sure. I noticed sometimes its purple and sometimes its red.

If you played Binding of Isaac it is basically a gauge for devil deal / angel room.

You get the purple meter filled by opening purple crystal chests, activating the purple crystals, and a tiny bit for opening purple crystal doors and I think for clearing a room without getting hit.

If you shoot any of the purple crystals / doors / chests, they turn red. If you touch them, you take damage but open them without crystals and it fills your meter red. I think it also fills a bit as you take damage from enemies. You will lose this purple bar easily if you accidentally hit a red crystal object.

The game refers to this as the wisdom / violence bar. After you fill it up you can go to any teleporter and you should see a room disconnected from the rest of the map - an arrow usually points you to it.

If you filled wisdom (purple), you get a choice of 1 item from 2 different items. If you filled the violence (red) bar, you must permanently sacrifice a heart container, but get a choice of 1 item from 3 different items. It's generally easier/faster to get the red bar filled, but costs health (both in touching the red items as well as permanently from taking an item).

*Spoilers below*

The fourth and fifth bosses are unlocked by taking two red deals or three purple deals respectively in one run (after beating Zeus for the first time) a token will spawn in the room after taking the last needed item that automatically add another level after beating Zeus again.

Ah, no wonder I haven't seen that. I beat Zeus today for the first time and haven't done another run yet. Thank you.
